Also I feel a very close connection to the other side. I do believe in ghosts and spirits and I am very into paranormal ways. But I feel like Im not close enough to god.

I am an Independant Christian. I refuse organized religions due to their greed and inside politics. I feel God in my garden, and I worship him in my respect for his creations. If you want to feel Him, spend some time in nature, reflecting on its beauty and wonder, and remember that He made it all for us to enjoy!

I'm Roman Catholic, partially due to the fact that I was raised that way and partially due to the fact that I have chosen to remain in this denomination. I have been fortunate enough to have had the chance to talk to people of a large variety of faiths and beliefs, to have stuided religious philosophy and theology, and to have been allowed to come to my own conclusions. Sometimes it's difficult to explain... someone asked me how I knew that Jesus was the Son of God. I said it wasn't something I could prove; it was just something that "clicked" so perfectly for me that I couldn't really see it otherwise.

Some people are surprised to find that I'm Catholic and do a lot of work for and in the Catholic Church because I am fairly forward-thinking, liberal, and open-minded. The Catholic Church has a reputation (and it often deserves it) for being very strict and conservative and unyielding. The reality is that the religious structures are so layered, rich, and steeped in history that you can't answer most questions and criticisms in just a couple sentences. All this to say, researching relgions takes time.

You asked how you can feel closer to God and the spiritual side of life. This is a very personal journey, and it's worth the effort. Find out for yourself what makes you feel closest to God. Is it group worship, meditation, study, praise, etc? When you have a better idea of that, look for a church service that gives you a chance to express a dimension of that. There is no perfect fit, but that might help you find a church where you feel comfortable.

If there’s something about “Christ” that draws you, but you can’t accept dogmas and the popular Christian doctrines, then you may consider gnosticism. This is a radically different from of Christianity. There are no bibles, churches, priests, no rules & regulations, etc., no miracles, god-men, no Jesus worship, no history. It’s quite similar to Buddhism but it’s theistic and has cosmology and some mysticism, and it’s totally spiritual. The gnostics were/are known as the “spiritual Christians.” Wicca and Paganism are also great for spiritual people; mainstream religions are not so good for them.

I am currently a SDa(seventh day adventist) just like u i have been apart of many other religions. i was catholic, episcopalian, pentecostal, jehovah witness and others but right now the religion i am in i like. the ppl are so much happier and kinder then the others i experienced. they really treat each other as family and all children of god no matter wat social structure they are apart of. We as seventh day adventist we attend church on a saturdsay because that is the sabbath day. we follow all of the 10 commandments and we respect and worship god as he should be treated. we know that he omnipotent, omniscient , and omnipresent. if u want more details feel free to contact me i have website for u to go to . just get in contact

I wish I had a better answer for you. All I can tell you is read your Bible. Really read it. Then do some research online of what the various denominations teach. Then do your best to find one that fits your personal beliefs. I personally prefer non-denominational churches, because they tend to follow the Bible rather than man-made rules. Try going to Beliefnet.com and taking the Belief-O-Matic quiz. It sounds goofy, but it will get you started in the right direction at least!

I don't really have a religion. My mater's Jewish. My pater is Catholic, and I only go into church/synogogue/other places of worship for special events, like baptisms or something. I still think you can have a relationship with god if you don't declare yourself of one religion or another. Just pray and be a good person, and apoligise for things you have done wrong, I guess. (I refuse to call them sins because it sounds too
eternal-damnation-y)

Atheist, which is actually the absence of religion. My atheism comes from the fact that there is no proof outside of religious works supporting the idea of a god. The creation of a god can be easily attributed to fear of death, answering unknown questions, and controlling people.

I grew up Catholic and learned that if I lived my life in accordance with the 10 commandments in the Old Testament that I would always be blessed, so I've done that and I'm in my 50's now and it's very true.

Islam. Islam is not a word but a definition of what God wants his religion to be. Islam mean submit and surrender to God (alone) with peace.

in Islam, you worship only one God. He is not Three, He is not Jesus-son-of-Mary, He is not human figure, He is not idols or images. He has not begot neither He has begotten. and He is the creator of everything.

and believe in the day of judgment, the day of which everyone promised to return. and God is ur only salvation, God has the final word of whom goes to Heaven or Hell. neither Abraham, Moses, Jesus or Muhammad can have the command to be in Hell or paradise except with what God has put in his destiny.

pray 5 times a day, worshiping God alone, give charity, tender toward the orphans, tender toward the parents, poor, hunger, widows, ur neighbor, and all the needy. connect with ur family and ur relatives. be fair and justice. be forgiver, be merciful, help each other.

fight for the sake of God when ur country get attacked unfairly. women and children and anyone came for peace cannot be killed even if they are from among the enemy. also you cannot attack any one or country unfairly, and you cannot attack anyone that you and him has peace treatment with each other, never dismiss a treatment or agreement. submit with ur words.

I am an Eclectic Wiccan. But don't believe people who tell you we worship Satan. You sound like an open-minded peerson and I respect that. Anyway, Eclectic Wicca is believing in Wiccan principles like "Harm None" and that you should respect the Earth for she is sacred, along with other principles from other faiths. Whichever you please. For me, I am a hybrid religion of Buddhism and Paganism.
