Not at all. You will see many women (and men) wearing long-sleeve light-weight tops (and long pants/slacks.) Local women often wear nicely coordinated scarves and other accessories also.
Especially in July, you will also see lots of people (especially but not only tourists) dressed in jeans, cutoffs, and and other very casual wear.

duh...It's going to be hot. why do you want to wear a lng sleeved **** anyways? Will you look strange...? HAHAHA would you look strange un the states? Locals that wear long sleeves? Uhmm we french people are human too.and wear long sleeves. And we sell long sleeved shirts at clothing stores. And wear them also during summer time. We're not any different. We look at you stange here if you wore a logn sleeved shirt. And the french will do the same. Anywhere you got if it's hot as HELL outside!
Why you say you'll become weird? You're making it seeem like french people are so judgmental like in the US.
Not really. We';re more open.we might stare. that's about it. But we don't point.
anwyays,,,my point is whatever makes you feel comfortable just wear it..And just like there are different states in the US. France has almost the same thing. So different region. Different people, accents, and they way they dress. no matter what you can't hide that your a tourist. They smell it a mile away.
Bon voyage et bonne chance koi!!! hahaha

Of course, you can wear it! You won't look strange! if it's dog days, anf you were a sweater, it might look weird, but that's all!
the point is that in France when the days become warmer, everybody wears tank tops and t-shirts for the first days and then wear pretty much anything! It looks like a "first days" syndrom to me! LOL!

Take something light with you like a windbreaker and maybe a light sweater if you get cold easy. I always get cold going in and out of AC, but I think the temp should be pretty ideal that time of the year. The other girl is right, you are American, you will stick out like a sore thumb no matter what. We used to play spot the American when we were people watching to kill time on my last backpacking trip because of how easy it was to tell who was..

you'll get hot in long sleeves! they're going thru a record heat wave and about 50% humidity! however, if you're going to any cathedrals, you'll usually need to have shoulders/knees covered for modesty!
