Definition of Compulsive Overeating:

Compulsive overeating is characterized by uncontrollable eating and consequent weight gain. Compulsive overeaters use food as a way to cope with stress, emotional conflicts and daily problems. The food can block out feelings and emotions. Compulsive overeaters usually feel out of control and are aware their eating patterns are abnormal. Like bulimics, compulsive overeaters do recognize they have a problem.

Yes--but instead of getting sympathy, obese people get ridiculed. Apparently, it's OK to have an eating disorder as long as you look good in a bikini.

I guess you could consider obesity an eating disorder. But it tends to be more of a hereditary problem.

Depends on how you look at things I guess. Its more like a lifestyle I think. Its not something that developes overnight, or even within months. It takes years to learn it and years to un learn it. Its something that you are born with or into. Children are obease now because their parents are or because they learn to be. Its forced on us by society with the serving sizes and convience foods. Its more of a problem in America than in other places in the world. I feel it does have a lot in common with other eating disorders because it is something people have to battle. You can't just wake up one day and say you want to change, its a lifelong thing.

In those situations this is an intervention. those everybody is extremely killing themselves an similar way anorexic human beings or bulumics are negative their bodies. between the persons above made talk about of them being lazy for sitting on their butt all day yet how is that particular from anorexics or bulimics who excercise to the aspect they're reaking havoc on their bodies. it really is extremely an similar variety of habit that could respond to eating disease clinical care in basic terms like they do for anorexics and bulimics. Why do now no longer the overweight get behavioral clinical take care of it? it really is in basic terms a sad project. with slightly of luck interior the destiny we may be able to do a much better effective activity at helping those human beings. This replaced into an impressive question, it really is now no longer in a great number of situations you would possibly want to assert that right here at present.

Not really. Obesity is the visible symptom of chronic malnutrition. Too much sugar and carbs, and not enough vegetables and protein.
