Yes I can speak in tongues.

It is a gift to edify the church body and it is given by the Spirit for beginning evidence of recieving the Baptism of the Spirit. Upon receiving the Spirit, the Spirit gives you the utterance and you have to open your mouth and take the step.

Note this that by this scripture. Here is my evidence.
Matthew 18:16
But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’

Acts 2:3-5
3They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
5Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven.

Acts 10:45-47
45The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles.
46For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.
Then Peter said,
47"Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have."

Acts 19:5-7
5On hearing this, they were baptized into[a] the name of the Lord Jesus.
6When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.
7There were about twelve men in all.

1 Corinthians 14:18
I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.

1 Corinthians 14:39
Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.

Many who speak in tongues can only do it when in a trance. They don't know what they are saying and don't remember when the come out of the trance. It is scary to me.

No ONE!

1 Corinthians 13:8-10

8-Charity never faileth; but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9-For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10-But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

you have to stop and ask yourself this, if God[no matter which one you worship] wants to talk to you don't you think that he would use language that you could understand? also why pass out and not remember? i have seen this many times and still think it is just self induced hallucinations

I never have. I've never witnessed it either, though I have heard some people say they can. I have my doubts about whether it's really from God or not, but having never witnessed it myself, I can't say.
