Does anyone know of a daycare that takes children for one day a week? Having issues with work and only need someone for one day on Friday from 1145-500.. Grand Prairie, TX Pls help if can

Check to see if you have a KinderCare there....
My g/f works at one in S.TX, they do that there.

Contact Social Services for a list of local day care providers...the ones they have on their list are certified. They will have bigger ones and "in-home" daycare providers. A lot of "in-homes" will have "part-time" or "drop-in" rates. My daycare provider (she runs one in her home, registered) has $25 per day rates for "drop ins". It's up to them wether or not they will. The bigger ones will usually be a rip-off. Had the same issues when I only needed 2 days per week, but I am in Denton....so can't give you info on Grand Prairie. Good luck.

You're best bet is probably going to be a private baby sitter or to find someone who operates a small child care service out of their home (make sure they're state certified though!). It's generally cheaper, and you child can still get some interaction with other kids.
