You should be sad that you did not make the best decision. The reason for "why not earlier than later" is because earlier in life you are not mature enough (none of us are) to deal with the consequences of sex -- you could get a disease, be used and ridiculed, get pregnant.

The time to be having sex is when you are having it with someone that you could COUNT ON if any of the things above happened and that you could marry and provide a home for a baby with if you did get pregnant.

Most guys / girls are nowhere ready to be parents until at least their 20s and that is reason enough to not have sex before then.

You have to stop and think about these things with your head -- teh same head that you would have to use if you had to make a dr's appt to try to figure out why you have sores all over your body and the same head that you would have to use to figure out what to do if you got pregnant (take the easy / disgusting way out and get an abortion and live with the fact that I killed my baby for the rest of my life?) Or would you take the tough road and get a job, stay with your parents until the baby was 18 yrs old or do the most responsible thing and give the baby up for adoption and deal with those thoughts for the rest of your life.

So be ashamed if you have risked yourself to these things, and don't do it again until LATER in your life when you can deal with the consequences.

Ideally you would have loving parents that would be teaching you this through love and example every day -- if you don't have this, then be very strong and be the example to yourself, you are worth it and can do it - OK? Big hug :)

It's nothing to be ashamed of if you are not a virgin. But make sure that you do not abuse it.

Some girls tend to abuse their status as being "not virgin" as a chance to sleep around as there is no string attach and she is not a "virgin" anymore.

If you abuse it, One day you will wake up and feel dirty. Save it for someone that you really love and willing to spend the rest of your life with.

Think about what you just said. Now think about this. How do you explain to your future spouse that you gave away the only gift you could give them that no one else could, your virginity. You couldn't wait. Sex was too tempting. You cheated on them before you got married. Your self esteem was so low you couldn't wait. Boy, I'm sure they will look on you with admiration for that, huh?

If you are ready then good but don't do it cause everyone is doing it. It should be with someone you feel comfortable with and always remember you don't want to regret it in the long run

Virginity is not something to be ashamed of. Any one who tell you otherwise is either trying to get up skirt, or is a ho themselves.

It depends on the person, their level of maturity, their social situation, how they were brought up, peer pressure. You can't turn back time. Do what you have to do and don't listen to what others have to say. Everyone is different and does things in their own time....be proud of your sexual liberance....Trent
