How long per side for medium is a tough question....depends on cut of meat and thickness. Season, cook over medium heat, turn only once. Rotating to make the criss cross marks is OK. With some practice you can tell how done a steak is by how much it gives when you push on it. A medium steak feels slightly firm with some give. Let your steak rest about 10 mins after taking it off of the grill to let the juices get back into the meat so they don't run all over your plate.
Sounds yummy. Enjoy(from one meat lover to another)

First tenderise it by marinade it in pineapple or orange this will help to break upu the meat as well as add taste, leave it for at least four hours then add some cajun spice or what every you like. When cookoing it don't have it too near the flames give the meat time to cook from the outside -in Maybe six minutes each side X2 and that should be OK, serve with lots of beer??

the biggest thing I have found is to not marinate it at all. a little sea salt and pepper go a long way and you still taste the steak. Cook for 4-5 min on each side at med heat for a med steak. and you should let it sit for a minute or two, I usually cover mine w/ foil on a plate - i'm always scared it will cook if left on the grill.

depends on the type of bbq, you know gas or charcoal. Type of cut and your preference.
I like my steaks on the rare side, so I generally light up the coals about 30-40 minutes in advance. I then cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side.
The key is in the seasoning....good luck

best way is to get a meat thermometer and stick it in the steak and keep the middle at 250 for about 15-20 minutes.

It depends on the size of the steak and cut of meat....... i marinade mine with mesquite flavor from Mccormick for 1-2 days in the fridge.....You will lick your fingers
