I believe in God for several reasons. I see the amazing design of the Earth and the universe, and I cannot logically conclude that it all happened by chance. There must have been a Designer. On a more personal note, God has revealed Himself to me through answered prayers that I cannot consider "coincidence". Also, He has spoken to me (not in an audible voice, but as a thought or idea). This might sound ridiculous to you, but it's real to me and I can't ignore it or excuse it. I hope my answer works for you.

We are the World
_______________________________________
There comes a time when we need a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
Oh, and it's time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all

We can't go on pretending day by day
That someone, somehow will soon make a change
We're all a part of God's great big family
And the truth - you know love is all we need

( CHORUS )
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
so let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

Well, send'em you your heart
So they know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us
By turning stone to bread
And so we all must lend a helping hand

( REPEAT CHORUS )

When you're down and out
There seems no hope at all
But if you just believe
There's no way we can fall
Well, well, well, let's realize
That one change can only come
When we stand together as one

The outer crust of the earth we inhabit is, relatively speaking, like the skin of an apple. Underneath the crust is molten material. In that molten material are all the chemicals in the periodic table, inherently all the laws of physics, all the laws of nature and all the ingrediants for life; so that all we see around us has had its origins from within the depths of planet earth. However, life would have never evolved if planet earth was not perfectly placed in the universe, orbiting at the right distance and the right speed around a sun of the right size, tipped on its axis at the right angle and rotating at the right speed, and to top if off, having a moon at the right orbit.

Only a powerful and benevolent God could have crafted the incredible and marvelous forces of nature that would create a universe and under the right conditions evolved life and the bounty and beautiy that we know on planet earth.

Yes, I believe in a God that crafted the forces of nature that formed the universe and evolved life. I believe that this God is a God of infinite and unconditional love so that all leaving this life have a life in eternity with him. Emperically looking at history , I believe that God leaves our collective and individual happiness and fulfillment up to us; and that it is up to us to find the wisdom of goodness that optimizes our collective and indiviual happiness and fulfillment.

because i am a creation, as simple as that.

There are two possibilities of we being here. Either we are here by Chance or we have been Created.

What are we made from? Cells. Let us now put aside the question of "how the first cell originated" and ask a much easier question: How did the first protein originate? The theory of evolution has no answer to this question either.

Proteins are made up of molecules, called "amino acids". There are 500-1,000 amino acids in an average protein. The important point is that amino acids have to line up in a certain sequence to form a protein. There are 20 different amino acid types used in living organisms. These amino acids do not combine at random to form proteins. Every protein has a certain amino acid sequence and this sequence must be precisely matched. Even the deficiency or the replacement of a single amino acid renders that protein a useless lump of molecules. For this reason, every amino acid must be just at the right place in the right sequence. The instructions for this sequence are stored in the DNA of the cell and, according to them, the proteins are produced.

The theory of evolution claims that the first proteins formed "by chance". Probabilistic calculations, however, show that this is by no means possible. For instance, the probability of the amino acid sequence of a protein made up of 500 amino acids being in the correct order is 1 in 10^950.
10^950 is an incomprehensible figure formed by placing 950 zeros after 1. In mathematics, a probability smaller than 1 over 1050 is considered to be almost impossible.

Even a single protein cannot form by chance, and there are billions of Protein in human body. and there are billions of people here in this world. Calculation would be [ 10^950 x Number of protein molecules in human body x number of people in the world ever existed ]. Can you imagine this figure. The probability that human life can form by chance is nothing but 0.

Finally, the time necessary for the molecule to form was 10^243 billion years. This was far greater than the supposed age of the universe - only about 2 billion years. It was impossible for the universe to have created itself, and for life to randomly form.

The only answer left is that there is creation, and when there is a creation , there is a CREATOR.

"Say: ‘Call upon Allah, or call upon Rahman: by whatever name ye call upon Him, (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names....‘"
[Al-Qur’an 17:110]

"Say: He is Allah, The One and Only. "Allah, the Eternal, Absolute.
"He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him."
[Quran 112:1-4]

For the main reason , we all didn't just evolve out of a puddle of goo , a very great intelligent being had to have made us . I do not believe we started out as a monkey either . I believe in God because I have faith in Him and believe we are made in His image . I don't believe in karma because we make our futures by sojourning through this life walking on the easy path or the hard path . He walked upon this earth and lived among us and sacrificed for us . Something humans don't realize is the actual hardships that Jesus went through . He felt pain like we do , He loved more than we do , He was tempted by Satan and won , I could go on and on , but i think you got the point . I feel it deep in my heart that as complicated as our human anatomy is , that we just couldn't have formed by accident from lower life forms .

I figure that the general definition of "God" is as follows:

a) all-powerfull
b) all-knowing
c) sentient

A force created the universe, and by extension, everthing that is IN the universe, so, technically, the force (whatever it was) that created the universe fits the first two criteria. Is the "Big Bang" force sentient? Don't know, and this is where faith comes in. I think it probably is, at least in some way that is so "big" that it is incomprehensible to us puny little humans. At any rate, it sure is comforting to think that all us people aren't just the result of eons of random particle collisions, and the existence of God would obviously show that we have some purpose in life.

the nothing to singularity part of the big bang theory doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to me. granted i'm not an expert on the subject. but it just magically appeared apparently. while we're doing that we might as well have a magical god. its really hard to explain how a giant mass of energy got there TO create the universe. I like to think god is the answer to that. whether that god is the god of old testament i do not know. but omnipotence seems apparent if the theory is right.

I believe in God because of my experience with Him.
When I was young, I got curious of the bible and read it inside out. I realized that the teachings are very insightful. It gives me an idea of what the right thing to do in handling certain (difficult) situations. i began to see my life started to improve... I have more peace, contentment, and understanding towards my life. then when I pray, I feel God's spirit. But that's years after i began reading the bible. My faith is strengthened by the speaking of tongues and the miracles that happened to not only me but other people who really love God.

i dont know if I do. i would love to belive that there was someone above us, helping us through, but at this point it is very hard to belive. If god was here, why would so many suffer, even the innocent suffer, and its wrong, what god(s) would let this go on?

I believe in God because I have read the Bible and have seen in the present that love can work wonders among us. God is all-sufficient and gives us the light to see a creation which a greater power has control of.
