I might be getting them, but I want them off by my senior year, I have spaces between my teeth, but overall my teeth are pretty straight, at least that's what my dentist told me. Also, do they hurt bad, even with power chains?

The only time they hurt is when you get your braces tightened every month. It doesn't last that long...I had to wear my braces for two years to close up the gap between my upper two front teeth...I think the length of time you have them all depends on what your dentist tells you. Good Luck!! :)

I wore braces for three long years. I won't comment on the pain, but I didn't have any special ones. Just had the plain metal ones and always got pretty colored bands on them lol. If your teeth are straight, but with spaces, if they have to resort to braces at all you shouldn't have to wear them as long as I did I wouldn't think. I hear the invisible ones are less painful, but I can't say that as a fact. And seriously, if you're worried that much about the pain...get real! People wear braces all the time, don't be a wuss lol.

Cutie is right about pain. As far as time--that depends on how much correction your teeth need. I wore mine about a year when I was 13. That was in the early '70s, I'm sure things have improved since then.

Theres no actual ought to stress in any respect. the only soreness you will experience is while they tighten the bands so your teeh get straighter. yet this doesnt happen yet as quickly as a month. Getting the brackets placed one doesnt harm, cementing the front brackets doesnt harm yet what ever you do dont lick it.. very nasty. in case you maintain on with their guidelines strictly and dont consume some thing your not meant to. Your going to love your new smile while they arrive off. so as meaning, no demanding candy of any type, no PB, no popcorn, no GUM sure no gum, no cookies, brittles, or different demanding pastry, even cough drops are out. you ought to comb your tooth better good whilst you have your braces reason the cement will turn colorings to the 1st meals you consume. additionally its okay to drink pop yet with mine I had a difficulty with the cement eroding and the bracket falling off. So not sure if that became from soda or organic placed on. I wish you success and merely ignor every physique that comes to a decision to tease you you have better issues to do in existence then pay attention to them. Hugs superb of success Oh I forgot while they are accomplished putting interior the braces your going to be slightly sore. so persist with soups, applesauce and intensely gentle dont ought to chew to lots meals. i became sore for a week. taking tylenol helped me yet ask your Ortho first while your accomplished.I had mine commencing up of 6th via center of 8th and that i nonetheless placed on my retainer to this present day to maintain my smile finding good. Btw that became over 15 yrs in the past.

they get a little sore, it all depends on how bad your teeth are, yours seem not that bad. I had braces, and it hurt more to get a retainer than it did the whole thing! lol.

THanks
