i want to paint one of my bedroom walls with chalkboard paint
it is slightly textured but not too badly plus another coat of paint will make it even more smooth.
has anyone used chalkboard paint on a textured wall? and has it been very difficult to use the chalk on it?

For a textured wall you could do a few things.
1) smooth the wall with spackle, let dry, prime, then use the chalkboard paint.
2) sand the wall down, prime, and paint
3)use the back of the bedroom door or the closet door.
4) put quarter inch plywood on the wall you want to paint, prime, and paint
But I wouldn't use chalkboard paint on a texured wall. The texture would cause problems when trying to write or draw.

If you don't like tons of dust, do not use chalkboard paint! It makes a huge mess all the time. Instead, try magnetic wall paint. You apply the magnetic paint and then put you wall color over it. It works great.

my sister helped make-over her boyfriends room and used chalkboard paint on his textured walls. It works just like normal paint when you apply it. good luck and it will look awesome!

Smooth is better as the chalk flow will be rutted. If its a big wall it will look tatty and dar. Use the back of a door instead
