As far as I know love is honesty, dependability, someone who is faithful. The difference between a crush and love is a crush you will get over really fast, but now love is a different story. For me love is hard to get over.

Varies for each person.
For example: I found that I need to respect the guy in order to fall in love w/ him. Being that I'm a little judgemental, respecting someone is hard for me.
Also. I needed someone who was in the same place in his life as me. For example, I dated someone who was struggling at a community college, while I was attending a 4 yr school w/ aspirations for a decent career. It didn't last b/c there's a big diff btwn community college kids and 4 yr school students...So we were in very different places in our lives. Maturity was a factor in this, as you can imagine.
Also, there are some characteristics one person can love while others can only tolerate for so long. The guy I mentioned that was struggling in the 2 year school also had a bit of a hero complex....He identified himself as the guy that always helped his friends, but he'd compromise himself for them constantly [which consequently didn't help his grades in school] Now some ppl might enjoy someone who cares so much, but I expected him to grow out of it....Which he didn't. So, it was tolerable for awhile, buuut.... I ended up not loving him b/c I couldn't respect his priorities.
But that's just a peice of it....I think there are other core things, like intellect and respect and stuff, but I'd have to sit on it for awhile.....

Love is when you know you have found the person who is the compliment of yourself. You have enough in common to be together, but enough not in common to make it interesting. You'll know it's love when you can't picture your life without that person. If you can see yourself in the future and this person is not in it - it's a crush.

Love is not a 'light headed' feeling or even a physical thing. Love is an action. Love is giving and serving. When you give and serve another person unselfishly then you are loving them. It is not something you try to attain for your self, but something you do for others.

Love is Complicated, Confusing, and yet, Blind. But then again, it hurts. But it makes you feel loved, important, happy, full of dreams, ..ect.
A crush is when you just really like that person, not love them.

Love is not a thing. Love is a feeling. When you are in love, you will know it.

A crush is when you would give up your hamburger for that special somebody so he/she won't be humgry. Love is when you would exchange your life in order (and mean it and be prepared to do it) for that same person to live.

great question.
Well, the only thing i can tell ya is that you'll know that it's love when it happens. you just know. as for a crush, it will happen more often than love, it will last less, and it has no chance of making you COMPLETELY happy... or completely miserable.
