These are classic symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder. There are some excellent medications available through you medical provider that can address your insomnia and your anxiety.

In the meantime, if you are healthy enough, start a vigorous physical activity program...enough to be out of breath for at least 30 minutes daily...biking, tennis, running, whatever you want, but it needs to be vigorous. This will help things in several important ways. Also if you drink anything with stimulants - Pseudoephedrine, caffeine or any other stimulant - stop...no stimulants.

Good luck and be well.

You really need to see a Physician to see if there are physical reasons why you are feeling this way and if there are potential treatments to try to alleviate the problem.

In the meantime, there are cardinal rules about sleep that people should try to abide by if they have trouble falling and staying asleep:

1. Always get up at the same time each day, even weekends;
2. Only go to bed when you are tired;
3. Do not nap during the day;
4. If you do not fall asleep within the first fifteen to twenty
minutes after going to bed, get up and do something that is
quiet and non-stressful (e.g. read a book); and
5. Avoid caffeine after 5:00 p.m. each day. Remember caffeine
is also in colas, teas, hot chocolates and other drinks. Always
read the label before you consume.

Why don't you try have a check-up on your doctor. If you're having trouble sleeping, try drinking milk, eat a balanced diet, and excercise.
