i was working on a 1998 ford and drilled though the computer in the pass. kick panel. after adding new one the antitheift program locked me out and has cut the fuel (only I believe).

you can remove the transponder from the key and PERMANENTLY mount it to the inside of the steering column cover

nope.. It's an anti theft thing and reqires a computer to syncro the PATS module to the PCM and yep cuts the fuel off on those vehicles

bite the bulliet and bring to the Ford dealer

I guess you could put a computer off of a F 250 with the same engine, and it'll work, or older model F150 that don't have anti-theft. For the computer it must be for the same engine though.

You have to have a dealer to synchronize the pcm to the PATS system. They will have to use a Ford computer to get the pcm to communicate to the anti theft system.
