Unless he's choking on it, absolutely nothing. It'll pass in his stool.

as long as its not lodged in his throat, which I gather is not the case or you'd be at the hospital and not asking on here, It will move from the stomach, to the small, then large intestines and out the colon. Much like anything else that goes in. Will more than likely not digest so, you can dig through it and plant a cherry tree after it has passed.

nothing will happen, it will NOT grow into a cherry tree!
It will pass in the stool and cause no harm at all.
Depending on the childs age, they may not be able to eat cherrys.
Relax, it's ok.

A cherry tree will grow in his stomach and the branches will come out of his ears. Just kidding.

It will pass harmlessly through his system and come out with his poop. If he didn't choke on it going down, the danger is past. Be grateful he didn't stick it up his nose!

Your child will be fine. Ask her to listen out for the *clink* when it hits the toilet bowl. My cousin swallowed a nail once and the aunties fed him a cotton wool sandwich so it would wrap around the nail to stop it hurting him. Amazingly it worked but I don't think you have to go that far.

Nothing will happen - it'll pass in the stool.

Of course, you could have a little fun and tell the kid if he drinks any water, it'll grow in his belly and burst out of his stomach in the middle of the night.

Doubt you'll get much sleep for a while, though.
