I do believe that's the beauty of it :-)

If I had been born 300 years ago on an island in the Pacific, I would have been brought up to believe a coconut palm tree was god. Had I been born in India in 700BC, I might believe the Buddah was god, or perhaps Vishnu. Had I been unfortunate enough to be born in South America at the time of the Roman Empire, I might have been taught some strange being in the rain forest was god.

There is no god. "God" is an imaginary concept human beings invent to help themselves cope with the complexity of life. Put a small child in a dark closet and wihout any coaxing the child will imagine a "higher power" as a coping mechanism, but each child will invent a different one. "God" is a coping mechanism. Just be nice to each other and the need for him evaporates.

It is far easier to believe there is no god, than to believe there is a god who willingly tolerates childhood cancer when if he were real, he could fix it but chooses not too!

Why would I believe there is a God? I know Christians might try to shove their "scientific evidence" in my face, but how can you take these people seriously when they have been ignoring science for 2000 years? I choose to call myself an agnostic, someone with no knowledge of any divine beings, because, let's face it, nobody can prove without a shadow of a doubt whether they (divine beings) exist or are a figment of our imagination. Stating something does nt make it true.

The fact that people ask this question dozens of times each day demonstrates God does not exist. The existence of things that exist is never (seriously) questioned.

How can you believe in the gobbledygook they teach you in mainstream religion. Seriously. Is there a God? I don't know. Nobody does. If there is one, us measly humans have certainly not found him yet.

I did when I was a child but then I grew up. I asked questions and got no asnwers. I experienced life and realised that the christian religion is wrong. I learned through experience that there is no god.

If the bad times in my life were just god testing me, why would he do that? And why would he do it until he pushed me away?

I do, so I can't answer for atheists.

But my experience tells me that atheists are completely self centered. They want no one telling them they can't kill, steal,
commit, adultery, whatever. They want a world where everyone can decide right and wrong for himself. So they reject a world in which God says what is right and wrong.

Our world is in sad shape right now, but they have no clue as to what it would be their way. I'll pray that they never find out.

because to think that this world was made by chance makes it that much more special than a world that was made by some god who put people here just to get on their knees and pray.
that makes me even more special! I'm here just by chance. WOW!

Read the Bible, the Quran, or the Torah. It's pretty evident that it's all just a poorly constructed hoax.

I do. Things I have seen that no man can do by themself. I have seen reports of people have cancer and then find nothing a few weeks ago.
