"There is a difference between The H-bombs America dropped on Japan, and the Napalm we used in Nam, Versus a Nuke. First off Napalm and H-Bombs do not produce radioactive fallout. After the initial destructive effects of the bombs people can still farm the land and live in the area.A Nuke radiates an area of effect and make it uninhabitable for many years. America has never launched a Nuclear device against another country."
Bzzzzz!! Wrong, monkey-brain! Hydrogen bombs produce massive amounts of radioactive fallout. They use a fission bomb to kick start a fusion reaction creating an enormous release of energy and radioactive material. Yes you have dropped nuclear weapons - 2 of them in fact, on Japan, although these were the more primitive fission type of nuclear bomb. Can still farm the land?? You need to brush up on your facts!
The answer is that its not just Bush and America - Europe is saying the same thing. The reason is is that there is already too much instability in the Middle East - how are nuclear weapons in the hands of an unstable dictatorship help matters? I think the track record of the primary nuclear nations (ie the ones with permanent seats on the UN Security Council - UK, US, France, Russia and China) speaks for itself. None of them (except the US of course) has ever used a nuke despite massive provocation!

A Nuke radiates an area of effect and make it uninhabitable for many years. America has never launched a Nuclear device against another country. We use our arsenal as a deterrent.

The U.S. used nuclear weapons to STOP a war. Not to kill innocent people freely. If Sadam Hussein had a nuclear weapon, what would he use it for? To bomb Israel. The same thing Iran would do. See the difference? The US stopped a war, the radical religious governments of the middle east want to use them to START a war. Read a history book. The US was not the only nation to use Chemical weapons.

They were also used in the great wars, especially mustard gas!
Other countries do have nuclear weapons!
While I detest Bush and everything he stands for (what a joke that is) and I don't believe we should be the police of the world, all these nations belong to the UN.
There are some contries who are too unstable to have nuclear weapons, and I am beginning to think we are one!

To be a successful capitalist in a capitalist society you need power. Nuclear bombs=power. Capitalism serves the needs of the ruling classes ie Bush, Blair etc etc. Nothing lasts forever though and in maybe 1000 years we will have a fair and just global society.

We don't say nobody else can have them, just choosy as to whom should possess them. No need to have a crazy dictator with total control in charge of them. In America, only teh President can order the launch, but the military can still disobey if under better judgement.
