this has worked in the past for me very very well. maybe your like me. brown thick hair (looks like its kinda scrunched, but frizzy). well if thats the case, then you use "bed head control freak, extra extra straight" thereare many steps, the more you use, the straighter your hair becomess.
then, to loose the frizz, you rap your hair in those drying towels, there small, simple, and easy to manage. keep that on all night. in the morning, your hair will be silky straight
hope you use my trick. its the best one i know

Straighten irons usually burn the hair to some degree with each use.You should try a roller set and then blowdry. The hair looks great afterwards and usually grows.

use a pre-heat spray treatment (like Beyond the Zone from Sally Beauty Supply) or some kind of frizz serum (john frieda is GREAT!), but just a little so its not greasy after handling it so much from straightening. blow it out with a brush to take out the serious curl and make sure there is NO moisture let when you're done. i love my BabylissPro! ask your stylist if she can get one for you because the Pro is very important and can only be bought by a professional. if possible, don't wash your hair everyday...helps with the oils.

There is a product by Catwalk. It's called Fashionista Smooth and Shine. It protects the hair from heating products. Gather thin strands of hair, comb it with a fine toothed comb and slowly bring the iron from the root down, going slow. Be careful not to go to fast because you can rip out strands of hair.

I bought heat protection spray at Sally's. I have really thick hair and after spraying that stuff in, i easily straightened my hair. It is in a big red bottle, but you mite want to buy a spray bottle, the original bottle sprays in one spot instead of all over. also you mite want 2 turn down the heat on your straightener!

well it is true that any straightener will burn your hair. me-after washing my hair i apply a serum called "kenra" a silkening gloss to my wet hair and let it air dry a little, then blow dry with a flat blush to get my hair completely dry. after, i use a comb and again blow dry small sections at a time to straighten it more. then i use my straighter called "jilbere de paris". works just like a chi!!!. whala!!!!
