dealing with big guys (this could be the most common dangerous task)

BUT.. your most annoying task will be going to the bathroom... I know what a pain in the a@@ it is for me to undo the duty belt, take off the belt keepers, undo the under belt and untuck everything.... and then put evertyhing back on! (don't forget that you'll have a big bulky radio on one hip and a gun on the other)

As for the guys hitting on you... a lot of people meet their spouses at work or through work... so if you're cute, expect to get hit on (just like at any other job!) Think of it as a compliment ;)

Well there is a double standard here. Woman protest that they afre equal to men but their tests to become officers are significantly easier. There is no way a woman can do the job as good as a man. I am an average strength man and if I wanted to I could get away from about 90% of women officers. There are things women are better at but this is not one of them.

Yes you can and you should wear it!

Hardest, a few, depends where you are:
Racist Sexist jokes
police tend to look at everyone the same..we are all criminals!
Stereotypes
Being hit on constantly
Having to go along with illegal decisions, covering up!

There are no girl officers..only officers who are women!

if you face the facts, women police officers just don't have the air of authority in a heated situation..they just are not intimidating enough..and they may be physically fit, but they just are not as strong as male officers..i was a cop, and in fight situations i always preferred a male backup..

from what i seen in some of the answers, taking on a big guy, however thats why you should keep up o your hand to hand, a good tazer, and my best thought the pr-24. will drop any person in there tracks. REMBER! you don't have to fight the man to beat him; just out smart him"

Arresting a man. They can over power you quickly and beat you to death. I have seen it happen numerous times in the past.

the normall person has no problem with it but on the street you must be tough they respect that as for you fellow police it is getting better but be strong and defend your ground they will respect that and you will earn their trust with time like everone else.
