They only want us to visit their point of view and study their so called proof of evolution or so called evidence of no God, however they do not wish to investigate the possibility of God, read the bible in it's entirety and not only cut and paste a few old testament passages. I think they are depriving themselves of an eternal life of joy and happiness. What do you think?

Oh, but there is proof of God. At least in the Native American sense (amoung others). All is one! We are all connected. And Science has the evidence to back it up! Weather you believe that all living things are connected (Organic Chemistry) or everything in the Universe is connected (All is energy- Tesla). And both of these concepts can be proven by scientific fact!
I do not deny your Bible passages, but I do wonder what it actually said before it was extremely edited (in the 14th century) and translated soo many times! I guess that's one thing we'll never know! You can thank King James for the things your better off NOT knowing!
Blessed Be...

Possibilities.
The answer is yes. Is it possible that there is no creator and that humans came to exist through evolution from apes, that evolved from lungfish, that evolved from single-celled organisms, that came from water and sunlight, resulting from being a certain distance from the Sun, which was cause by the localization of hydrogen, which was probably caused by the explosion of a star. Is it possible that we are here by chance and there is no purpose in humans other than to live here on this world for as long as we can. Is it possible that we were all created by an infinite complexity, or a God and that the whole universe is meant for us. Answering no to any of these questions has a very powerful meaning. If we don’t accept that there are possibilities outside our inherent beliefs, then we are ignorant to them and therefore accept that we have a mind closed to these possibilities. If we can’t have discussions about our thoughts and beliefs without resulting in a circular argument or an end statement leaving out the realm of all possibilities, then we must accept the fact that our minds are shutting out the possibilities otherwise. Any statement must be made with absolute proof and must be able to endure all criticism before it can be worthy enough to be a belief, and even then it may not be absolutely certain.

*Atheists
not aetheists!!!

Ok, first, you are ignorant for not believing in evolution. Do you know what ignorant means?

Second, do you know what a Slippery Slope is? You are slipping all the way down it!!

Third, I dont care what view point you take, but me, ill take the scientific view point. If you want to believe in some mythical god without a single shred of real evidence, then that is up to you. The only time I will ever say anything to you about your beliefs is when you try to push it down my throat!!

Fourth, how are we depriving ourselves of joy and happiness? We live our lives to the fullest. We understand that this life is all you've got, so, you better make the best of it. And we do!! However, we dont walk around telling other people that we are better because we believe differently than other people. Like you do!!

I totally agree with you. Here is the missing link in the outdated theory of evolution... and the list keeps growing.

Is this the evidence for evolution?
Piltdown Man - A deliberate hoax. Ended up being a ape jaw attached to a human skull that was stained to look old.

Java Man - The discover later rejected it stating that a human & ape were just found in proximity.

Peking Man - Tools & human bones were found near the apes whose brains they were eating (monkey brains are still eaten in China).

Nebraska Man - An entire person (and family) was envisioned from a single tooth... a tooth that later proved to have come from a pig.

Lucy - Reclassified as an extinct ape.

Ramapithecus - A jaw & teeth were eventually dismissed as early human in origin (an Orangutan).

Neanderthal.... a man?
It was once thought that the Neanderthal was a man. But, thanks to advancement in science, genetic DNA research indicates that the chromosomes do not match those of humans. They do match those of bi-pedal primates (apes) though.

Tools? The use of crude tools by Neanderthal does not mean they were human. Many animals including birds, fish, and mammals use "tools".

Shelter? If Neanderthal created shelters, it does not imply they were human. Many animals (beavers, birds, bees) also construct shelters.

Religion? There is no evidence that Neanderthal practiced any form of worship or religion. Interestingly, that is the primary way the bible separates Man from animals.

Why then do some people still insist Neanderthal was man?

Evolution is defied by agnostic people like Michael Behe... a microbiologist. He wrote the book "Darwin's Black Box" I suggest everyone read it and learn.

I believe in evolution and admit that it may have areas that are not 100% clear. After all, we are learning all the time....at least those of us who are willing to keep open minds and are eager to evaluate new information. Church goers do not have this luxury. They JUST believe and that's that! This, in a way, is ignorance but it certainly makes life a lot more simple for them. They don't have to think and explore. All they do is follow what they are taught, right or wrong. The church says so. It must , therefore, be true. My mind is too inquisitive for that kinda stuff.

Belief is reaching a conclusion without evidence or proof. Belief is sustained by faith.

Evolution is all about evidence. Evolution is a FACT because we can demonstrate it and allow others to observe it themselves in their own experiments --example -- the development of disease resistance in bacteria is evolution. If you stress bacteria in a partially poisonous environment, they are going to develop disease resistance to the poison --and--they are going to do so independent of your belief or disbelief in evolution.

When atheists apply the same standards to relgion, they come back with nothing that compells them to believe based on observable evidence. They cannot be bribed by a promise of eternal joy and happiness.

I think there is no necessary intersection between a mind devoted to the scientific method and a mind based on faith.

Which do I follow? Well, if I get sick, I go to the hospital or my doctor, not for a laying-of-hands by a healer.

I don't think you're ignorant. I think you're arrogant for telling God how HE had to create the universe. God is free to build the universe however HE wants, including through the evolution of the species. HE is also free to give humanity the intellectual abilities to comprehend the beauty of HIS creation. But you'd rather bury your face in a book written by many different people with many different agendas than open your eyes and experience the beauty first hand.

They just haven't evolved enough.. The evolution thing can only make them happy if we confess that they come from apes or primates. So we must confess and separate ourselves from their gene pool. They did evolve from primates and their actions just prove it.. We on the other hand were made by God and have a higher intelligence and calling. I erroneously thought they were like us, but have had to repent to make them happy. They cry out to be primate people and who are we to deny them their calling..
Me I prefer being a christian and communing with God but I think that they need a little more time in the evolution cooker..
I see one here that rejects both ideas, I wonder where he came from??

I think that ignorance is a choice people make, not a title to be given or taken. If one can not honestly say that they have thoroughly weighed the evidence on both sides of an issue, how can they possibly claim that they are NOT ignorant with any impunity?

It is, in actuality, okay to choose to be ignorant, because God has not given everyone the 'perfect' ability to learn and understand all things (not saying that I have), however, it is not okay to label someone as ignorant because you disagree with them. It is at best arrogant to presume that any man save Jesus has 'perfect' knowledge of God and His creation, and our duty as Christians is to point men to CHRIST, not Genesis Theory.

God does not need us to prove His truth, He just wants us to point others at it.
