I'm not talking about all Christians obviously, just the homophobic ones.

(Wikipedia)
The word homophobia means fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals. It can also mean hatred of and disparagement of homosexual people, their lifestyles, their sexual behaviors, or cultures, and is generally used to assert bigotry.[1] Opposition to same-sex activism on religious, moral, or political grounds may also be pejoratively referred to as homophobia

Demonic and evil? perhaps... they just are afraid of something...

Now the ones who think homosexuality is a choice... well, to me, they are just plain stupid.

They are only evil if they engage in hate crimes and bigotry, descrimination and belittlement... which, sadly some do... damned hypocrites.

No, and the use of the term "homophobic" is a misnomer. Most Christians do not fear, have an aversion to, or discriminate against gays. They are not into hate mongering or being bigots either. To be sure, there are probably some, but the majority do not. Christians are called to hate the sin, but love the sinner. God calls it an abomination; the sin, not the sinner. It's the sin that separates those who have made this choice from knowing God.

More than a decade now, Hollywood and the media has pushed for acceptance of this deviant behavior. Talk about shoving something down peoples throats. Almost every prime time show has references and innuendos about it. One would think the majority ARE homosexual. I've even heard from Christians who claim that they are homosexuals. They seem to forget that repentance, that is the turning from their old ways, the desires and lusts of the flesh, is a prerequisite.

There are some who will be saying this is the way they were born. That they were wired this way. It may have been so long ago that they've forgotten, but somewhere along the way they made the choice. Christians are just reflecting what God would have them do... to make a new choice and turn from their sinful ways.

I think it may be a bit judgemental to use the word 'demonic.' I mean, however warped I may find someone's thoughts, they still have every right to their own opinion, and I really don't think it's my place to judge.

I am a Christian, and I do think homosexuality is a sin. However, the same concept applies here: God has given everyone the free will to choose how they will live their lives, and He will take vengence on the ungodly as He sees fit. What most Christians don't realize, in my opinion, is that Christianity is a religon based on love. If you cannot show love to every person, regardless of how he/she lives his/her life, you have missed the point that the Church was founded on.

Seeing as you keep recycling the same question over and over, just changing the words slightly, I'll recycle my answer over and over...

Just because someone doesn't agree with the homosexual lifestyle, does not mean they are homophobic. Also, just because Christianity does not agree with homosexual acts does not mean we're homophobic. It also doesn't mean that Christians do not care about homosexuals.

It is one of the challenges of Christians to look beyond the actions of an individual and see the light of God within them when they choose to act against God and love them regardless.

We are not set upon this earth to judge one another, but to love one another. If a person chooses to act against God, be it by homosexual acts, or perhaps they have stolen something, lied or gossipped (sp?), it is not for us to judge that person, but we are obligated to at least guide that person to understand that there is a better life waiting for them.

Contrary to secular thinking, we are our brother's keeper - and we should be - to be otherwise means we don't care about our fellow brothers and sisters - to be apathetic to their life. We do care, we do want you to know and feel the love of Jesus in your heart.

A true Christian focuses on the person and loves who they are; however, this should not be construed as condoning behaviour that is contrary to the teachings of the bible.

Any sexual act outside of marriage is wrong and contrary to the teachings of the bible.

Love the sinner, hate the sin.

God bless you and keep you safe always

Frankly I think most Christians are evil by proxy. They worship a god whose famous for murder, rape, destruction and other immoral acts.

I love all that crap about "For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, blah, blah, blah..." In defense of Christians, I have to say that just having the stones to equate God with love is either the most idiotic thing I can think of, or the most brilliant lie the world has ever seen.

Why not some truth in advertising? How about this...

"For God so loved the world, he destroyed civilizations and cultures, brought plagues on the earth, and unleashed evil on the earth."

Yeah, I know it doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but it's infinitely more accurate.

Christians do not support any kind of sexual sin, whether it is homosexuality, or other forms of fornication. Because society has accepted this type of behavior does not mean that God fearing people should. The bible states that we should not be conformed to the things of this world but to be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Ah, the mantra of the liberal. "You Christians are _______________." (enter liberal catchphrase, such as hateful, homophobic, intolerant, etc. here)

Just because we have standards, doesn't mean that we "fear" (oh! I'm cowering!) someone. We just state biblical truth. For example, you have just called something evil good. There is a biblical reference for what you have done. Let's take a look.

"Although they know God's just requirement-that those who practice such things deserve to die-they not only do these things but even applaud others who practice them." (Romans 1:32)

Paul had just delivered a discourse about various evils, and homosexuality (both male and female versions) had been condemned. Then, he talks about what is just as bad: applauding those who practice it. Congratulations! You're a winner!

"enable God be real, yet each and every guy a liar." (Rom. 3:4) it is not proper what human beings say, it concerns what the recognize God says. that's certainly sparkling from New testomony scripture that the gay act is sinful. (Romans a million:26,27; I Cor. 6:9,10; I Timothy a million:8-11) however the gay act isn't an unforgivable sin. God needs homosexuals to repent. (Ezekiel 18:32; Acts 2:38; II Peter 3:9) in case you desire Christians and others to be tolerant, you need to be tolerant too.

Well, there is a difference between a phobia and withholding approval of the homosexual agenda. What was so wrong with people keeping their sexual preferences to themselves in private? I consider myself a Christian, and I DO believe that many homosexuals were born that way, with the preferences for having sexual relations with members of the same sex. Now, why is it necessary for me to put my stamp of approval on this behavior? I was born heterosexual, so it is only natural for me to feel revulsion for the thought of having sex with another male. Is it not natural for me to feel disgusted by the kind of open acts of homosexual behavior that we now see regularly paraded on every cheap media outlet and newspaper and film, for the obvious intent of "normalizing" the images of homosexual sex,
and with the political agenda of equating Gay Rights to other civil liberties? Why do you want to shove the gay rights agenda down our throats in the public schools? Do you want everyone to be gay? Do you just want everyone to accept that YOU are gay? Could you just tone it down about 5 notches and go back to your homes and do whatever the hell it is you want to do with each other, and quit shoving your disgusting behaviors in our faces. Then we'll leave you alone. You can even go to your Episcopalian or Unitarian-Universalist churches and marry each other for all I care. Just Sssshhh, please! Sincerely, UCSteve

Nope because there is no such thing. It's only a term used by the spiritually dead to try to put people on a guilt trip.

The gay lifestyle is an abomination to God. This means it’s disgusting an abhorrence, a feeling of repugnance or loathing.

Those who promote this lifestyle have a darkened heart and have become fools by their own perverted mind. Their acts are a disgrace of vile affections doing unseemly passions of infamy. Vain in their imaginations they are morally wicked. They defile themselves through the lusts of their own hearts. It’s indecency, dishonour, and unclean.

But they can’t reserve this life style or death style to themselves, they want to destroy others by promoting it. They want special rights and ungodly unions recognized as marriage.

Most people could be tolerant as long as this vile death style was not so public. But by promoting this abomination it is impossible to be tolerant, unless you are deceived. Because this would be tolerance of destroying of souls and destruction of our society. Being blinded into acceptance of this repugnant death style will cease God’s blessings.

Now everyone is a sinner and falls short. Christ has set us free from the bondage of sin. Upon repentance we are forgiven. Our sins can be blotted out no more to be remembered. That’s the whole purpose of this flesh life. To defeat Satan (death) legally and to offer salvation to whomsoever.
