The prior answers have not fully addressed your question. Implied by the language of your question, you have background in medication/pharmacology. The first thing I did was to look up the primary metabolizing hepatic enzyme system used for oral Clindamycin and for oral birth control are both cyt P450. Sometimes when the same pathway is used it can induce metabolism (make the medication move out of your system faster than normal) or it can delay metabolism (allowing higher amounts of medication to remain in your system).
I then further looked at Pub Med to see if there was a specific journal article addressing the subject. In fact there was.
The abstract specifically mentioned that Clindamycin was implicated in at least one case of documented oral birth control failure. I would, if you need further information seek the original journal article.

yes, antibiotics decrease the effectiveness of contraceptives. You need to use protection or abstain from sex through the course of antibiotics and then for a month afterwards....

As with taking any Drug while on a form of contraceptives it's best to tell your dr. what kind you are on before he/she prescribe any new medication.
I got pregnant with my second while on birth control pill due to taking a mycin... So in my case the answer is yes...
