Get a 2nd opinion, you need to go to the hospital and demand they see you and that this infection has been on going on untreated, and that you are miserable, and that antibiotics aren't helping you. this may cause other severe problems to other parts of your body if you don't seek HELP NOW...

Go to a new doctor. I had MSRA a few years ago. It's called methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, or MSRA. Basically, it's a staph infection that's resistant to treatment with the antibiotic Methicillin. I think they gave me vancomycin. I was in ICU for a few days then moved to a private room with a hazard sticker on the door. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks. I had emergency surgery, they couldn't put an i v in my arm (small veins) so they had to put a central line in my chest. When I left the hospital, I left with an i v pole and a home health nurse for about a month. Where in Louisiana because I wouldn't want to go to your doctor?

Get a new doctor, you don't need a doctor who won't listen to you! If you can't for insurane reasons, then go to the ER / A minor Care treatment place and request to be seen for it. If it's antibiotic resistant, they can find out what it's resistant to.

Staph nearly killed my Aunt, if we would have taken her to the hospital any later than we did, she would have died... and she didn't even have symptoms of it up until a few days beforehand!

I had to be hospitalized once for the stuff... it doesn't get better without treatment... It only get's worse.

buy Dial antibacteria soap. Go buy triple antibiotic. Go to a different doctor. You can die from Staph. Open wonds can infect other people. I had to go do IV's twice a day for two weeks.

My guess is penicillin. Prevention is the key. Ask the doc about more potent antibiotics. If the infection goes so deep that it involves muscles or fibers that enclose muscles, it needs to be surgically cleaned.

There should be a stronger antibiotic. You should find a new doctor, sounds like yours is an ***. This is a potentially life threatening situation. You need to find a new doctor immediatly.

It can't be immune to antibiotics unless it was treated with them for a long period of time and built up that immunity..go to a doc..this infection can kill you.

First off you must see someone who specializes in infectous disease. They must do a culture & sensitivity for your paticular strain and find out which antibiotics it is sensitve to.You might have to take intravenous antibiotics
