A soldier goes into a house, shoot three people and rapes a woman. Republicans will excuse this how? How long until they blame America haters and the press? How long until they say that these things happen in war and if the media didn't undermine the war, then this wouldn't have happened?
I say this because they excused Abu Grhaib as "hazing," Haditha as "misunderstanding" the secret prisons in Europe as "vital" and so on. What happened to every person's life being equal? I'm ready for the, "terrorists don't think your life is valuable" answers. Because of course, to preserve our moral high ground and freedoms, we have to act like them.

Hour millaterry are the most honorable and resbected in the world (does not matter if the entire world is against us, they still must respect us because we are America). The grate United States of America is number won in edumacation, sience, and tecknologe. Do 2 the fact we is so great you must give hour soldiers sum lee-way in the war. Just like in Vietnam there was many soldiers who raped and killed innosent civilians. Those who spoke up agenst it were labeled as trattors. This is because we r at war. THe enemy is the hole countre not just there soldiers. Those pore Vietnamese women deserved to get raped for being born there, just like whit is now happening in Iraqu. We are the enemy of the entire world rite now because only Bush is able to see the big picture to keep America grate. Eye wills always fight for me country even if eyes do not beleve in the cause. A communist bastard like u should get an edumacation and lerned sumthing.

I am a Republican, but I do not want the guys to get away with rape or other war crimes. They need to be brought to justice. Under stress? Great. So everyone can do it and use that excuse? Not by my standards. Forget the Republicans, should I point out things that Clinton go away with? Like selling weapons to geurillas, to the insurgents, having an affair (which isn't a big deal these days) but then he COMMITTED PURGERY and was 'impeached' yet he was not forced to leave office. It's not just the Repubs...who's to say these guys weren't Democrats? Or Independent parties? How in the HELL did politics get into A FEW MEN'S BAD DECISIONS. They can rot in prison for all I care.

Four of the Five are facing a Court Martial Board at this time, the fifth is a civilian now (discharged for personality disorder) and is in a Federal Court looking at the death sentence. What I love is your bashing of everyone else for being presumptuous, but you have already convicted these 5 Soldiers before the trials are over. Hypocrite. Did you protest when Clinton bombed and killed tens of thousands in Serbia, attacked a pharmaceutical factory on "flawed intelligence" that it was producing WMDs, when he bombed Iraq almost weekly for 8 years? Again I say, "Hypocrite."

Our military is the most honorable and professional in the world. I'll bet you never bother to listen to the reports of how our soldiers spend their own time and money to help the Iraqis. I have seen hundreds of positive, uplifting photos of young Iraqi children playing with our soldiers, of Iraqi women giving them a thankful "thumbs up" as they help build schools or dig sewers so the Iraqis can live decent lives.
You can't beat statistics. We are sending hundreds of thousands of people to Iraq. There is a mathematical certainty that some of them will not conduct themselves well. If you look at any other army, you will hear of hundreds of such reports of abuse, not one isolated incident as you cite here. Our military makes every effort to monitor the troops, and make sure they follow every rule and guideline. However, you can't expect perfect results.
In college, I lived in a frat house, and let me tell you, some of the hazing is just as bad as anything you will see in the Abu Ghraib fotos. Saddam Hussein had REAL rape rooms. The soldiers who misbehaved never put the Iraqi prisoners in any actual physical danger. They were using coersive techniques to get information. Saddam would let his attack dogs rip into the flesh of prisoners. Our soldiers never let a dog actually touch any prisoner.
Some of our soldiers overstepped their boundaries. They used unauthorized phychologically coercive techniques. However, none of these Iraqis were physically harmed.
Under Saddam, these same prisoners would have had hands cut off.
Very big difference.

Being responsible is not a favorite word for the Rubs these days. Though the things that have or not have happened are at least to say very bad. You should try to imagine yourself put in a situation in which you are always wondering when it will be your turn while at the same time seeing you mates maimed and slaughtered before you eyes. That is hard on the soul and mind and given the circumstances, nobody really knows how they will react!

They'll blame the Mexicans, or the Gays, or the Flag Burners, or maybe even Terri Shaivo's husband..
Or better, they will say that this is all the Democrats fault.
Why?
Because as you know by your question, the party of personal responsibility, cares about none for themselves

There is no excuse for criminal behavior.
There is also no perfection in human endeavor.
I believe that in Abu Grhaib, there was not excusing. It was investigated, people were punished.
There will always be problems. In a war or without one, people will do horrible things.
WHAT IN THE WORLD DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH REPUBLICANS?

I find it strange that cutting off people's heads is an offense that can be pardoned. Let's get the facts first before we condemn our troops like the Republicans like to do.
