so I ran like an idiot and jumped on top of my car it ran right past my car and acted like it was spooked or somthing so mabe it was'nt after me at all?

It would probably bite if you messed with it. Or possibly if you were in it's "territory". My husband was attacked by a chipmunk once...it just came up to our picnic table and bit his shoe.

Any thing that's alive and has teeth can bite, especially if it feels threatened.

It could have been rabid. I would report it to animal control.
