My DD is 9 months old but very advanced for eating. She now eats ravioli, pasta, muffins, fresh fruit, green beans, spinach, carrots, pancakes, eggs, (yes, eggs my peditrian told me to give it a try because she is very advanced for foods, she started baby cereal when she was 3 weeks, and been on baby food since 4 months)
I am tired of feed her pasta and carbs all the time. ANY SUGGESTIONS??? thanks

I DO realize that sausages and hot dogs are hazzards to baby and toddlers. EVEN IF THEY ARE CUT down the side into two...

my daughter is way to picky, she will not eat gerber anything. She never liked jar baby food. I had to make her homemade babyfood. I don't know what it is, hubby says she probably doesn't like the taste...

At around 10 months my daughter would not eat jar food, so we started giving her what ever we ate. Chili was her favorite, never any problems with gas or anything. pinto beans(like from Taco bell with the red sauce) You did not mention how many teeth she has, my baby had enough to eat regular foods with by that time. She is now three and still eats lots of Carbs too, her doctor says it is healthy as long as she takes her vitamins. Oh and try tender baked meats for protein.

Cut up very small pieces of meat and fruit that she cam gum. Gerber has a great line of foods. My son liked the veggie puffs and the square cookies (don't remember what they are called). But any thing Gerber my kid loved.

If she eats pretty much anything, then you can give her small pieces of what you have on your plate to have. Anything can be a finger food for a baby! My son loved pieces of philly cheese steak (still does!) and soft veggies. Small pieces of banana and other soft fruit is great also! Cheese is a good one too. I started my son with those new Kraft Crumbles. They're just the right size for small fingers to pick up, and small enough that they're not too much for little teeth to handle! Good luck!

Hot dogs or vienna sausages are excellent finger foods, as are chicken nuggets (though chicken nuggets do have some carbs from the breading). You might also want to try some softer cheeses (besides american... I mean REAL cheese). Good way to add protien to the diet without it being carb heavy.

My kids really like eggs(I've got a 2 yr and 11 month old). They have a lot of protein other good things for the kids. Sweet potatos with a dash of cinamon is a favorite. Until they get some teeth, you can't really give them meat that isn't pureed.

Gerber fruit and veggie puffs. Cheerios. Gerber baby hotdogs (safe for babies) Try to stick with natural, healthy foods. Fruits and veggies are great, keep up with those. My daughter also LOVES jerky for teething (no spicy or peppery flavors, turkey jerky is best)

She should be able to eat anything you can, as long as it's cut up into bite-sized pieces. Fruit is good. Have you tried that Danimals (drinkable) yogurt? My one year old loves that. I pour it into a sippy cup (after removing the stopper) for him. As for carbs, I don't know...everything I came up with is a carb, lol! Cheese cubes? Goldfish crackers? Just keep her away from swordfish, shark, tuna and other fish known to be high in mercury, and honey.
