You broke up for a reason - these things don't just happenb out of nowhere. I cannot tell you what to do because I do not know all the facts. What you should do to make up your mind is examine his motives. Why is he all of a sudden in touch? Why did the two of you breakup and how? What could you possibly gain from this relationship? I doubt it is going to work - there is such a thing as too much history and breakups don't occur out of nowhere. You should take a hard calculating look at why and what is happening and what you can possibly get out of this.

depends on the reason he is the past and not the present....sometimes its worth rekindling and sometimes its better to keep going forward and never look back. whats the present holding for u and prospects? u know what he's about u dont know what the future holds for u...

Depends on why he is from the past. Were you treated well? If so, do what you want to do. If not, NO! Usually if it didn't work the first time, it won't work.

Don't do it unless the reasons you broke up are no longer a factor. For example, if you weren't compatible in certain areas, (i.e., physical activity, sex, culture, etc), you likely won't be now either. If he lost interest in you or cheated on you, forget it. It will happen again.

If you're with someone else and you're happy, then nothing. If you're single, think of why they're an ex from the past. would it be worth putting them into the future again?

If you're single and there's no major reason not to, go for it. You only live once. Have fun with it.
