I don´t think that best option should be an execution... BEcause,
1) If you're a believer, then to die is to pass to another (better) existance... some sort of relief...that's in any religion right?
2) The action will be communicating the following "hey! we can do the same!!! do you see??? we can be JUST like you... (what an achievement, huh?)
3)There´s sth called karma and is about paying everything you've done to others... do you think that just by applying an injection, US or UN's court will be making this man pay??? or if you want to take it further... Will the execution partialize the story, and leave all assasinations (both sides' ) solved??? Is this the end anyways?
K, hope you find it useful.

the whole Saddam thing has turned into a joke,,,,we should have shot him the hole they found him,,buried him and left Iraq,,,save the country from all the exspense involved in this "trial" of his,,, the trial will go on and on for ever with him probaly get away with what he did! But put him to death at the hands of the relatives he killed

Why give Saddam an easy way out. I would rather he have life in prison that way he would never be at peace and slowly watch the country change and nothing he can do about it.
