I think you have that the other way around. Mexico uses this country as a resource. A good deal of the income earned here is not spent here it goes back to Mexico. Millions of illegal aliens are here....ILLEGAL! They are committing crimes. Mexico should thank the US for not arresting and deporting them back home. They should also thank us for housing and feeding the Mexicans that committ crimes here. They get a better shake here than they would in a Mexicana prison. The only time the want to run back home is when they are looking at the death penalty. This is also the only time that the Mexican government gets involved. All of a sudden the illegal aliens and the Mexican government decide thatthe criminal is a Mexican citizen and should not be put to death! Ha! Thank you for what?

Given them??? Mexico did not give the US any people.. It seems that the wages in Mexico SUCK so it forces people out of Mexico to the US for a chance at a better life!! Why do you think Americans take business TO Mexico?? Because American business cannot change the wage laws in Mexico so even if you did get a job w/ US company, you still get a SUCK wage!!

We are grateful that some of the Mexican come over here and work hard at jobs many do not want to do. Especially when they do it legally! But the greedy people of Mexico, who break our laws by sneaking over our borders, using our welfare, heath system and education on our tax dollar without paying their federal or state taxes, well I say No thank you! On the day that we were so-called boycotted was the first day I actually got to go shopping and not have to worry about the rude little Mexican kids climbing the shelves and Ilse's. The rude Mexican woman standing there talking and refusing to move while I tried to buy groceries, The perverted Mexican men looking at young girls and old ladies like they are whats for dinner! As far as me and others I know, it was the most pleasant day of shopping I had. Guess what it didn't shut down the economy either! So Thanks to all the people who come here legally and pay taxes and never ask for a free ride on my buck. But no thanks to the ones who are bleeding us dry.

A better question would be: Will Mexico ever pull it's economy together so it can raise itself above the level of a Third World country, and thus make the illegal immigration problem disappear by employing it's own citizens fully. The recent election squabble doesn't give this writer a lot of comfort about these ideals.

I don't think that the US owes anyone a thank you. People from around the world owe us a thank you. We allow people to come here and get decent paying jobs to better their standard of living. No one "thanked" my great grandparents for coming here and working. They did it because, for all of our problems , America is still the dream for the rest of the world. It is not a racist thing, as so many want to make it. I believe that it is the idea of people doing something illegal and getting away with it,with little or no punishment that upsets alot of people. I for one love to visit Mexico. It is a beautiful place with some great people. It would be nice if the Gov't there would fix the things there for the Mexicans.

Mexico has never given us a single hard working person; the hard working people fled their horrible lives in Mexico to pursue a better one in the USA.

Let us put it this way: Is Mexico going to say thank you for all the things the US has had to put up with Mexico? From Aliens to Zip of cooperation when criminals cross the border to escape US authorities, I can make a list of the different things Mexico has done starting with each letter of the alphabet, so don't get me started.

I have to question that question....Thank you for the hard work? Like legal American Citizens don't work hard? I've been working since I was 14 years old, paying taxes, having Social Security taken out of my check...I have to wonder now how many illegal immigrants (not just Mexican) may have started utilizing my social security number, who has stolen my identity. We all work hard. I work 40 hours plus a week, do my own laundry, cleaning, mowing, yard work etc....I have raised a family, supported ill family members, and still did everything within the limits of the Laws of our Country. If all of the "hard workers" put as much effort into turning their own country around, marched on their government and DEMANDED the rights they Demand from my Country, I might have a bit more respect. Thank you for breaking laws? I don't think so. And as mentioned before, how about the "hard work" other immigrants have done to survive? How about the hard work other immigrants have undertaken, and still went about it legally and through the proper channels.

I dont know. Who cares really? I bet all of them are not hard working people and there are hard working people among Americans too. Is Mexico gonna thank Americans for coming to visit Cancun so often and spend good dollars over there?... That´s what I thought.

Nope!
We really dont need the people from Mexico. They are just here. If they want to come over and work for pratically no money, then why should we say thank you? They only fill up our schools, emergency rooms, and jails. The LEGAL citizens of America are PAYING for the Illegal Mexicans to be here. So they should be saying THANK YOU TO US!!! They can say thank you by leaving. That goes for ALL illegal immigrants!
