The main answer from pro-illegals is not "No they don't!" it is "Great!" and "Yeah, so what?"
Does that make you feel warm and fuzzy?
What do you think we should do about it?

superdaringhero - does that mean you think illegal aliens should be able to? By what logic?

Illegal aliens are illegal aliens. They don't seem to mind it when they put that term in the "Dream Act" they are trying to pass to get in state tuition breaks. It is an accurate term. It is not 'loaded'. If it is accurately perjorative, that is their fault for performing the act.

JuanCarlosNoMore - Mark Twain said something like 'Democracy is a fine thing until people realize they can vote themselves money." When it is people not even entitled to vote, and who shouldn't be here, it goes just that much further than we are able to stand.
There is was an article recently about the Colorado post-vote sampling, but it was just a sampling, to find out if illegals had used their licenses (before they couldn't get them) to vote. Florida found some in the Bush recount, as well, but that was a while ago. Mostly, since they don't track it, it is hard to have hard numbers. What I am suggesting is that votes should be checked, in the future. (Although I will look for the article on Colorado.) Arizona passed a law requiring proof of citizenship to vote. I think it is a good idea.

Answ3r3r - thank you. You just illustrated my point. Illegal immigrant supporters DO think it is ok for illegals to vote. Because of course it was fine for Blacks to vote. They were citizens.

Pancha, I agree that virtually all illegals pay taxes if you include sales tax, but that doesn't cover education or health care. I don't believe 'most' illegals pay taxes. I do know 'some' illegals pay taxes, and those taxes are taken into account in the studies that conclude they are an economic drain. It isn't just them, all poor immigrants are, even if they pay taxes. That is why we limit poor immigrants.

Hi, Monkey. I didn't link the question because of the 'facts' claimed. I linked it because of the answers from pro-illegals that were in the nature of 'yeah, so?' rather than 'No they don't!'
Colorado just did a sampling of their past election and found illegals had voted, and I have read a number of other accounts of similar. I have no idea how widespread it is but am ticked that Senator Kennedy pushed aside an amendment to require verification as if NOT having verification was a benefit.
I think the people here vote and are active in other forums and that sharing this information is part of 'doing something about it'.
Peace.

I heard if you see someone(illegal) voting on a Government level----you can ask for a recount.
It is still on the record-that only citizens can vote for government officials.
They can on smaller-- like township associations

I have frequently worried recently about this. I'm more worried about the illegals being given amnesty and voting legally!
I have to beleive they DO vote even as illegals.
Do you have any figures to throw around on this. What % and where? I went to the other question and read. NO deffinitive answers yet.
Strange. We let em' in an give em' amesty but don't get our undies in a knot until they start to vote illegaly. Is that annal end backwards or what?

NO........I don't.......(OH DAR.....did you think I was gone......never......I am your monkey......on your back that is)
You quote a question by someone who "claims" to have worked somewhere. Hey.......I have a few "mistruths" I can quote on the internet.....wanna hear them.....(probably not.....they don't work in your favor). Anyhoo.......back to the answer.
Perhaps the reason ALL of YOU "really pissed off people on Yahoo answers" are HERE instead of FINDING out who is voting and how it is being conducted is because.....umm you have the same attitude you have had for the past 20 years.....go figure. The internet makes ALL OF US activists....doesn't it.
What makes me warm and fuzzy is none of YOUR business.
What should we do about it.......if it is an issue....we should investigate, solve and correct. We SHOULD NOT be pimping a question and raving on Yahoo.

There likely will be extra gerrymandering by a range of of state legislatures after this census. yet, how would gerrymandering interior of states help in a presidential election? except for Nebraska & Maine, each state is winner-take-enthusiastic about electors, and that i'll't imagine all people gerrymandering the borders of the states themselves. in spite of everything, given each of the controversy in Washington about the problem, that is amazingly unlikely that some type of blanket amesty like what you're speaking about might want to get by Congress, inspite of if Obama wanted to do it. (And if he did & might want to, this kind of flow would income a great number of votes hostile to him besides.)

Of course they vote illegally. I for one, If I lived in California, would demand a recount if I lost, and verify each and every name voted. Especially if it was pro amnesty candidate. That's a no brainer.

This question seems a lot as if somebody in the Jim Crow laws days asked: "Do you think that some negroes are passing by whites and voting?"
And your comment like "*****-lovers think it's ok for negroes to vote, under what logic would you accept that"

Yes they can vote where no id is required and the honour system is in place. Calif is a great example of place where anyone can vote without needing any id.
