My son was stopped by the police, and taken to the station with 3 of his 16 year old friends. My son is 17. They were in possession of pot, and they would not let my son drive home (It was 3:30am) They were let go with a warning, but I was so upset, the next day, I cancelled plans with my BF. My BF was angry.
My question is: I had feelings that I should stay with my son. Should I have let that go, and gone out with my BF? Or....do you think his anger is inappropriate. He will not answer the phone , nor email to me.

Your boyfriend is very immature and self centered. I am a mom so I know... our kids ALWAYS come first. That's what makes you a great mom.
Tell your boyfriend to grow up! If he can't accept your relationship and responsibilty to your children then he needs to move on.

As a mom, I agree that your kids has to come first. Your boyfriend needs to understand that. If he can't, he's not ready to be a 'family man' and isn't worth your time.
