Yes, I call the 1 800 FREE 411 all the time there are no additional fees beside the minutes it uses for the actual length of the call. This was on the Tyra Banks show.

The free 411 is questionable. Oh, and I love about.com. Try 1.800.555.1212 for free directory assistance for 1800 numbers.
Oh and you can dial 1(area code)555-1212 anywhere and get directory listings(not free, but if you are using a cell phone with included long distance it does not matter)

Everything's fine.....until you get to the free 411: that's an urban legend. Either your parents pay the cellphone bill or you haven't gotten a copy of it yet.
