I always gave my show dogs a spoonful or two of peanut oil.It puts a layer of fat under the skin and causes them to glisten besides that it is very palatable.

I would say olive or virgin coconut oil (look at the Asian stores).. But when I make them I do not put anything on them and my dogs love them..

I cut mine up into squares, bake with seasoning on a cookie sheet, they love them.. Did you use a food dehydrator?

You can use canola oil. My vet said canola oil is good for dogs if they have dry skin, so I guess it's okay to use on your treats.
