Sure, but make sure it's a man who's name you won't mind seeing for a long time---sort of like a tattoo, know what I mean? Don't name a boat after your newest flame, then have a terrible breakup with him and have your boat stuck with his name!

It would be just fine. If it's your boat, you can name it anything you want. Lots of folks don't even name them after people. It should be a clever name though, that means a lot to you...

Oh yeah. I don't understamd the whole female-ship thing. Name it after whomever you like.
Best boat name I ever saw was "Thanks Dad". Not really naming it after a man, but still an excellent name.

well, this site below gives male names for boats so i wouldnt see why you wouldnt be able to use them... our boat is called TomKat II. nbot that you care but its kinda a mixed boat.
