I agree with you that we need to share Jesus' love and not turn people off with the way that we talk. We also need to stop being judgemental. But at the same time, just living like a Christian isn't enough. Jesus commanded us in the Bible to tell people. If we could really think about what hell is going to be like, and that there is no escape, then we wouldn't be so shy about telling everyone we know how they can not go there. The problem with the world is that we Christians have been too quiet.

The great commission is to tell people the gospel, which means good news. They're going to hell is not good news. You should pray, at times, that people get revelation of what hell really is. How bad and awful a place it is, and that you can't get out once your there, but that God would show them that revelation. Not that a man or person they don't trust would tell them about it. The word Christian means Christ-like. You don't need to tell people you're a Christian, they will know it by your fruits. Sure people need to know the consequences of their choices, but let's be honest; people are motivated by "What's it going to benefit me?" mentality. We need to tell them about God's love. Tell them that they don't have to suffer with sickness and disease, because by the wounds Jesus took on his back they don't have to. Tell them about our loving Father that supplies ALL their need. And SHOW them the truth. Jesus didn't get much attention until he started performing miracles, and then thousands followed him and listened to him. And he said "The works that I do you shall do also, and even greater ones." So you're right, we need to focus on the positive, on the Good News. Help people, and show them the better way. If you give a dog a steak, he'll drop the bone. I'm not saying people are dogs, but most don't even know they could have such a better life. That is what we've been told to share. That is why we don't immediately go to heaven when we're saved. Share the wealth! Invite others to the great feast in the sky!

You spread love by helping others. God is love. And God also represents truth. Some people are going to hell and there is nothing wrong with telling the truth. But we are here to let others know about his love. So, nobody should be going around pointing fingers at people instead we need to let them know about the love we share with God. But in today's society it calls for drastic measures and sometimes boldness has to be displayed. I don't never say that someone will go to hell. I just call the demon as I see it. If you be lying. I call you a liar. Then I will let you know what God says about lying and that you could be delivered. And not only christians blurt that because a tru christian won't just say that in that way. Ya see, some of us play church and being a christian. But it takes a peronal relationship with God so your heart can change.

I agree with your idea and that should be the right Christian attitude. Some of these Christians think they are saved and sure of heaven not knowing that a few minutes ago they have just commited a sin. Jesus rebuked the sinners because they were hard in their hearts but did Jesus directly tell someone in the Bible exclusivey that he or she is going to hell? What did He say to the prostitute who was about to be stoned to death? what did He say to her accusers? Haven't anyone learn from this? Jesus message was for all mankind and it was a message of a SINLESS man who within has God's spirit. So, are we sinless like Jesus? Who among us have not sinned? Raise your hand. So, if we all sinned, then we have no right whatsoever to tell people that they are going to hell.
Have anyone ever heard a Catholic tell someone he would go to hell. If we can only be honest to ourselves, I myself don't tell people that they are going to hell and I believe all Catholics don't. If you want to save souls, show them who the real Chrsit is, and not tell them to go to hell. We can never win a lot of hearts this way. The ones who would likely to tell you that you are going to hell are mostly fundamentalists Christians who has been so saved that they forgot that they too commit sin. And this attitude of condemning other people's sin has created more atheists than Christians by alienating their sympathy and understanding towards Christianity. They have sowed more hate than love and call themselves righteous and even made the Catholic Church a church of abomination. Can anyone see now who will be first in the kingdom of satan? So, long live the saved Christian pastors who have made Christians self righteous enough to tell people that they go to hell. If only we will realize that we are not judges or juries, we are all accused who will all face judgement day.

Stop telling twenty people that they are going to Hell everyday! Oh my goodness! That means that there are people ("Christians") out there who go around telling people that they are going to Hell, every day, in order to try to save them?! Wow! No wonder people speak poorly of some Christians!
No one, no matter what their faith, has the right to tell anyone else that they are going to hell anyway. Anyone who calls themselves a Christian and goes around condemning people instead of showing love missed Jesus' boat in the first place. God wants our love willingly. He does not want it out of fear or chastisement. True love can not come that way anyway. Christians are supposed to lead by example like Jesus did. Who would want to be a Christian anyway if all the Christians they met went around playing "holier than thou" and being religious zealots anyway.
Some modern day Christians make me truly sad and embarrassed for them. At least it sounds like you have figured it out. Sound the call!

I am a Christian! Very proud of it but I don't usually answer religion questions (any religion) because I always see one of my fellow brethren condemning someone to hell! That is not for us to judge. I strongly agree with this question because think about it guys, what if you are the only Christian these people come in contact with??? And you have basically said to them. "To hell with you!!!!" Where is their chance to get it right. Also their blood may be on your hands!!!!!!!!!!!!

What your saying sounds good and well, but is equally if not just as bad as condemning people for not accepting Jesus. Jesus is the ONLY way. But it is important to try and be more personable online.

I agree totally with you. Actions speak louder than words. Christians are judged by others by their actions. If we turn others away from Christ because of our actions as Christians, have we not sinned?
Yet if our actions are seen by others, and they are led to Christianity through that, have we not done God's will?

I personally dont spend alot of time evangelizing to nonChristians, but it sounds like you are a Joel Osteen type of girl who ignores what Jesus actually came here to take away from us..our sin. Yes God is good and loving, but with this comes his judgement and wrath.
