I need serious help regarding my dogs aggression with strangers?
She is a very loyal dogs and good with kids and other dogs. But with any stranger she becomes very aggressive.
I have to lock her up or hold her so she dont get loose and bite. She is fine with some of my family but she seems to target men more then women. How do i teach her to stop on command or to get this habit of aggression stoped?

You will need to work one on one with a behavorial trainer in your area. They need to come into your home and see whatthe dogs does and when and all that inforamtion is best done in person.
I work with aggressive dogs mostly Dobermans I do behavorial modification for a rescue.
You will need help of someone with experience with assertive aggressive dogs.
Your best bet is to crate the dog any time you have a stranger in your home.
Depending on breed you may never be able to vocally control this dog. It will take time a effort on your part and that of your family. FOr the safety of all involved,
Find a trainer and get some help.

Definitely get a trainer. My male dog is just like that and it is only with strangers. He loves the family but feels like he needs 2 protect us. We have 2 put him in his crate when company comes over and I think that it is unfair. I just talked 2 a dog trainer and he is going 2 work with us next month so definitely consider a dog trainer.

You need to have a dog trainer who specializes in aggression, who will do an evaluation of your dog's behavior and then work with you on how to best deal with it. Look for a positive based trainer - not one who uses punishment as that will only increase her aggresive behaviors. Go to the APDT website to look for a trainer - make sure the trainer is Positive based and hopefully uses clicker training. Join yahoo group Clicker Solutions for more help.
