I plan on Visiting Israel in the next year to a year and a half. What's it like? How expensive is it? And whats the transportation like when there?

Israel is great. It is not dangerous, contrary to popular belief. There are many beautiful sites including the Dead Sea, Red Sea, Kinneret, the Golan Heights, Masada, Old Jerusalem, Mediterranean sea-side towns, artifacts, churches of every kind, Yad Vashem (the Holocaust museum), etc. Definitely go. You will not regret it.

Overall, Israel is not too expensive. Like any country, there are expensive restaurants, shops, etc. But many reasonable and cheap places exist, and you can bargain in many place to get a better price. Transportation is abundent, taxis are almost everywhere.

Have a wonderful time.
