I think the spelling and grammar are less of a problem compared to the sheer idiocy and/or immaturity of the vast majority of askers/answerers.
Of course considering there is a spell check available, the spelling problems probably are a little bit more inexcusable.

As some have already stated, they are not native speakers. Most likely they see it more expedient to type their thoughts as they come (along with the typos) rather than take an hour to answer a question. I have no problem with the grammatical and spelling errors in this type of forum. My problem is with some of the questions which have the flavor of being written by someone under 10.

It's true, there are a ridiculous number of mistakes in the questions and answers on this site. But before posting your question, maybe you should have checked your own question - the comma in 'Q&A,s' is bizzare, you haven't used a question mark after the aforementioned phrase, you haven't capitalised 'i' and you've misspelt ridicule. Plus, and I'm less sure on this one, but can you have 'grammatical spelling errors'?

Q&A,s. Don't get me wrong, i don't mean to riddicule anyone, but it is our basic language.
Notice a comma instead of apostrophe and 'I' in lower case.
Also, no plural of 'question' in your question.
Sort out your own house first, sweetheart.

It's probably worth noting that not everyone who posts on this site actually does have English as their first language, so I definitely overlook their basic errors.
That said, I do agree with you 100% when it comes to native speakers.

Well....
Q&A's does not have a comma in it.
I is always a capital letter when referring to oneself.
Ridicule only has one 'd' in it.
So perhaps you should check your own question before posting? But yes, lots of people here do seem to be educationally subnormal.

The same people don't know how to talk either! Should we blame the public school system? Lack of parenting?
