So when I sit or lie down, no matter how long I do when I stand up, no matter how fast or slow I stand I get dizzy for like 10 minutes. It has been getting worse, it started at 1 mintue, now i get dizzy for 10. This morning, I blacked out when I got dizzy, my b/f was there he said I was out for 6 minutes. Why could this be happening? And what should I do?

I have the same thing only I can just be sitting here and all at once get so dizzy i can't sit up. Ive seen 4 or 5 Dr.s and was told i have extreme vertigo. If you are having dizziness when you sit up or stand up you should see a Dr. . When my vertigo first started i woulden go to the Dr. and when i did go 6 or 8 months later it was to late they coulden fix it because it had got to the extreme stage. The only thing i can do for it now is take about 9 different meds. to help control it but it don't stop it. And the meds. that i have to take has caused incontinence so i have to wear diapers for that. So if i was you I would have it looked into before it get any worse!

It could be due to vertigo, an inner ear thingy, or an inner ear infection.

It could also be due to low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) - especially the blacking out part, and the worsening part. I'd bet you have other symptoms too.

You may want to check out www.hufa.org and click on the symptoms link, to see what other symptoms you may be having that might be interrelated.

Dear, you need to seek a doctor immediately. And I mean NOW. It could be anemia, but a friend of mine had the Lyme disease which affected his heart, causing him to black out. Whatever it is, have it checked NOW. Good luck, dear.

I think you've got very low blood pressure. Go see a doctor. He can give you prescriptions. After that its fine. have you tried getting up slowly? Like really slowly?
