I do believe there's a God. Some people find the idea of a God to be too far-fetched, but I'm more inclined to think that the theory that a couple of cells crawled out of the primordial ooze and became me is more unbelievable.
Blaise Pascal, 17th century mathematician, wrote in his Pensees that:
"God is, or He is not. But to which side shall we incline? Reason can decide nothing here. There is an infinite chaos which separated us. A game is being played at the extremity of this infinite distance where heads or tails will turn up...Which will you choose then? Let us see. Since you must choose, let us see which interests you least. You have two things to lose, the true and the good; and two things to stake, your reason and your will, your knowledge and your happiness; and your nature has two things to shun, error and misery. Your reason is no more shocked in choosing one rather than the other, since you must of necessity choose. This is one point settled. But your happiness? Let us weigh the gain and the loss in wagering that God is. Let us estimate these two chances. If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing. Wager, then, without hesitation that He is."
Heaven or hell ... It's a hell of a gamble to lose.

Yes I believe there is a God.
When I was a child, the house I grew up in wasn't a very happy home. It seemed there was a cold war going on between my parents...and people seemed to stab each other in the back. I remember thinking that there must be an opposite of what I was witnessing (not that I thought it this clearly)....there must be perfect love, kindness, justice, mercy, forgiveness. I think it was at that time I became aware of a presence that, decades later, I would recognize as Jesus Christ.
I also became aware of God when I was in nature. That was, and still is, where I feel His presence most often.
I've been studying the bible now for about ten years. One day as I was thinking about Jesus, I realized that He was the one with me so many years ago, when I was little and so alone. He was so familiar, and I finally realized why.
I am so grateful that God loves us.

I don't believe.
Why?
Why should I?
I don't beleive in Santa either, or the easter bunny, or the tooth fairy, or the government..
so why should I beleive in some made up god either?
plus none of it makes sense either.
But what of that was really any part of your business? Each person's faith or lack of faith is their own business and no one else should care what I believe or anyone else for that matter.
But then again, religion is all about bigotry and hatred isn't it? So you have to know why people don't believe so you can try to convert them right?
Ok sorry I don't mean to be so cruel, not all christians are like that, just alot of the ones on here seem to be. Most of them are nice quiet members of society who don't feel the need to bring up religion outside of the church and their families.
But yeh, w/e.. rambling xD

If you look at any natural thing in existence you will find that it hasdesign, a color, detail, and physical features. If you think about it, dont all designs, have a designer. Every creation has a creator, am i worng? Espacially in nature. It is mind bottling that every single act in nature is locked into something else. Is it just by chance that certain flowers depend on certain bugs and bats to polinate them. Is it just by chance, that in the ocean the clown fish live in anomenes and one another work together to survive. You can forget my examples and i bet you can think of hundred of ways this entire planet is interlocked with other things that give us life. So to say that existence happened by coincedence is purely ignorant. And to say that what ever god one believes in made life is too ignorant. I prefer to say that god made life. As to what religious group that god may see him or herself in as another story.

Yes of course there is a God
Why? because no other than God can create all the very beautiful things around us, and we humans turn this beauty into ugliness .
God created man, then sent him many prophets to guide him whenever the man went astray, and till today religions is what kept humans realizing the fact of God. nothing that great and this big was being created in vain.

I believe there is a God because He has revealed Himself to me in so many ways. He gave me the Holy Ghost, (His spirit) He healed my depression, there was a problem with my dad one time and God worked that out and my dad is still living for God. The world is so complicated. The big bang theory is wrong. You make a big bang sometime and see what happens...nothing. All you end up with is hurt ears. :D God Bless you and keep you!

God is there. There is no question in my mind. Otherwise, how can someone explain the creation of people, or of the whole world? What hope do people have if their life span is only about 70 years? How can you explain the various miracles that happen if not caused by God?

Sure do. For me it's because everytime I've investigated a challenge to the Bible, the Bible has been proven correct. Since the Bible states there is one and only one God, I then believe.
This website is good for info on some reasons I beleive why God exists.

I was raised in church so I believe that there is a God. Even though I can't physically see Him, I just know He's there with me every day, guiding me. If you believe the Bible, you believe there's a God.
