No, they are all the same. After 24 years in the military service and having worked in all branches, I don't know of any difference, i.e., Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, etc., etc.

It's called the phonetic alphabet. Not just military use it. I used it when I worked at Directv's call center. Ham Radio operators use it. Police use it. It's pretty much used everywhere in the US.

No they are all the same. My husband is in the Navy and I leave for the coast guard in Sept. They gave me the same alphabet that he has and learned to study.
