Just over 2,540.

Any life lost in this war is one which should be honored. We are in a war that has been going for a long time and the number of soldiers lost are less than the number killed by terrorist on a single day when they attacked our country on September 11, 2001.

This is a new form of warfare without front lines and the enemy hides behind civilians, the same ones they attack by intent and have killed in the many of thousands worldwide.

Maybe it would be more relevant to ask, how many people have been killed (by intent) by the terrorists just since this war began. Ask it again since 1990.

The United States is in an unenviable role of being nearly alone to stand against the terrorists. If the United States didn’t accept this role, it would be far worse.

Not that I don't feel for the soldiers and their families that have made the ultimate sacrifice in this war, but the number of people we've lost is far, far less than World War II or even Vietnam. I just wish you liberals / bleeding hearts would get over yourselves, get behind the war effort and the troops so we can get this thing over with. The more you protest and get in the way, the longer it's gonna take. In addition to that, the enemy is simply emboldened just knowing that some Americans seem to actually be more on their side than ours. I dunno, maybe it's gonna take another 9 / 11 x 10 for some of you people to wake up.

Less people than have died on American highways in the past two years. Unless you're risking your life, quite b*tch*ng. My husband and many like him do and you don't hear them complaining.
