Yes, if you are already addicted to it, but that is the problem you have to be addicted to it.

Nope, it is a myth. The tannin in cig somke mimiks actions of neuroreceptors in the brain making it fire more. (overclocking the brain if you will). Thus when the effect is gone, you come crashing down and go for another cig.
If a person is fallig asleep after smoking a cig, then they are actually trying to win a loosing war.....

Yeah it can calm you down... but it's not good for you! And I wouldn't choose smoking for a method to be calm.

Yes. Nicotine satisfies your addiction, and that always calms people down for a period of time.

Smoking doesn’t calm you down. It just kills your brain cells and in the long run makes you a moron.
(Sorry if that offends any smokers. I just say it as I see it!)

Yes it does. Trust me, I will have hit a lot of people if it wasn't calming me down.

WHAT KIND OF SMOKING? IF YOU ARE SAYING CIGARETTES. YES, IT DOES. ALSO, PROVEN TO BE A DRUG. TOBACCO IS VERY ADDICTIVE. FOR SOME PEOPLE IT IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO BREAK THE HABIT, EVEN WHEN THEY ARE DRAGGING AROUND AN OXYGEN TANK. IT'S NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO BREAK THE HABIT, THOUGH. I DID AND SO DID MY HUSBAND. MY FATHER ALSO BROKE THE HABIT EVEN AT A TIME WHEN SMOKING WAS COOL.

Well it's kept ME from taking a few people's head's off. I can get upset and ticked off, take a smoke break, and I'm all better.
