What is it w/ People Who Are Chronically Late?

I know quite a few of these.. to me they are telling the WORLD

I don't give a SH*T....

They are into themselves...or just do not CARE ak.. above..

No one is important enough for them to be on time..

RUDE... and after a while people start backing off, because those people DO NOT care when comments are made about the time and or/say reservation...
They mess things up... ak being late..

You either accept it..
Make the time different to mess with them...LOL
Or not hang out...

People that are chronically late have a personality defect. They do not see it as being rude or disrespectful--which it most certainly is. The Myers-Briggs personality test is a great way to determine who falls into what personality category. It boils down to one set that is on time and they consider it rude when the others are late. The others can not understand what the big deal is, and they never will understand it.

People do not change "much."

I had a girlfriend that was late all the time. The clock in her car was twenty minutes fast, and she was still late everywhere we went. And now, in the age of cell phones, she would rarely call. Once we had set a date to go to the movies at 7 p.m. At 7:15 p.m. she had not given me the courtesy of a phone call. At 7:30 p.m., I left and went without her. She called my cell phone at 7:35 p.m. and she was in my driveway wondering where I was. I told here where I would be --at the theater.

After that, she was within 5 minutes of being on time for about three weeks, then she was back to the same old crap.

Well are they "fashionably" late or just jerks that refuse to come on time? I don't believe in the idea of fashionably late anymore as things have changed and the idea doesn't really apply now. Either way if they are normally around the same amount of time late you beat it by claiming the thing starts that much earlier so they show up right on time.

I'm usually late. I know it shows disrespect and makes me look bad, but I don't do it on purpose. I don't think to myself, my time is so much more important, so I'll just show up whenever I want to. I just never really learned the importance of getting places on time, plus I always get distracted and lose track of time right before I should leave.

I don't know, My sister-n-law is that way. Her excuse is her brain is fried by all the drugs she's done over the years. So she forgets from one minute to the next that she's getting ready to go somewhere. As for everybody else I have no clue, some may be the same.

They do not have the ability to make plans or manage their time. They are also inconsiderate and self-centered. They also surround themselves with people that will wait for them.

I know; I just recently dropped a former-friend because of this. I believe it shows disrespect.

I don't know, but I wish they'd stop. In my own personal engagments I give a 15 minute grace period, then I leave. Unless, of course, they call and let me know why they are running late.

They are self -involved and never think about it. They have always done it and nothing has happened negative to them. When it does, they don't understand. I have a rule that I wait 15 minutes. Then I leave.

enable me state this obviously: all people who would stand contained in the way of a suffering man or woman ending their own existence is completely the worst scum that could want to probably exist....worse than criminals, terrorists, or something else you could imagine of. If i became suffering and there became a helpful marketing campaign to end me from ending my existence, yet I someway recovered, i'd without hesitation search out all people in touch and torture them to lack of life.

Nothing is wrong with us, we just have things happen at the last minute all the time.
