I was told by a prophet that I am a prophetess of GOD however last October two False Prophetess really hurt me and brought me down now I have doubts about this Spiritual gift.

Honestly, if you're surrounded by "prophets", chances are you're associating with the wrong people. The only way to know if you have a spiritual gift is to know YOURSELF and not have someone else tell you. People lie. Look within yourself and you'll probably find the answer.

a prophet and prophetess are one and the same Excpt for the human sex distingtion prophecy is the gift of fortelling (specifically in the name og god or the lord) and not the smae as being a clairvaoyant telling someones POSSIBLE but not SURE future. The gift of prophecy is sshown by the words of use by the one giving the prophesy and are SET and WILL occur. the problem with this is that so many claim to prophecy butr aren't reallyu doing so because it is NOT given as the wordof GOD or the Lord. A simple test as to whether you are a prophet , seer or clairvoyant is to ask when in deep prayer. the answer is given then and is usually one of the three. But remember this: a false prophet is easily exposed. a true prophet waits months week and even years to learn if it is true. BE a doubting thomas. Test the source with a sign from the source as to whether the prophecuy is TRUE. Don't assume it is true. always question and you'll find that prophecy will usually last but a very short time for anyone. not for months and years.

THE GIFT's of GOD are with out REPENTANCE.
If GOD called you to be a Prophetess, and you were Appointed by a Prophet of GOD, you are still a Prophetess.
The enemy of all Mankind will try to Decieve you, and keep you from Working for GOD ALMIGHTY.

Focus on God and not this gift when our attention is directed solely on Him we'll know HIs voice, he said so himself, my sheep know my voice. Ask HIm to heal these wounds from your past, cause if that gift is in you you have the potential to speak falsely out of your hurt just as some have done to you. Ask God to show you the truth of all three words. There are many coming in the name of the Lord these days. Weigh everything against scripture.

Stop focusing on the gifts....turn your attention to the Giver. God has too many people putting words in His mouth.

if you prophesy and it does not come true, then you're not a prophetess. End of story.
