Please don't buy from a newspaper ad. 99% of the time they are animals of poor genetic stock and the owners are not professional, ethical, caring breeders. They contribute to the 3-5 million animals that are put down every year with their reckless breeding.
If you have to get a dog for 'cheap', then you should not have a dog. They are not accessories. They are not toys. If you can't pay for a well bred, guaranteed dog, then how are you going to pay for emergencies? Even without emergencies - how are you going to pay for necessities? You know, high quality food, vaccinations, teeth cleaning, altering to dog, regular health check-ups, etc. If you can't put away $1000 for this purpose eah year, then you shouldn't have a dog. Sorry!
Even if you disagree with my honesty (and it is the truth), please take a moment to read about how to find a reputable breeder or why you should rescue.

have you ever checked Petfinder? i'm observing Chihuahuas on your section good now and located a brilliant number of "less costly" canines. Shelters are the only place the place maximum canines have a less costly adoption fee. i got here across a Chihuahua that fees $one hundred seventy five.00 at a interior of sight animal preserve. you need to even stumble on a decrease fee. even though, you're nonetheless going to pay for the components, vet charges, and so on.

when it comes to a member of your family(which a dog is), don't look for a bargain. you need to find a dog that will fit in well with your family, not your wallet. and as for shipping, that is a BAD idea, you will have no idea of the temperament or health of your pup. most places that offer to deliver your pup to you are puppy mills. they are horrendous places that simply pair 2 dogs together and breed them every heat cycle until the # of pups in each litter gets so small that thy decide to kill the female. the facilities are usually very unsanitary (they stand on wire bottoms so the urine and poop fall through). you might want to research them before you buy. but i suggest that you visit your local shelter. and check on the Internet for responsible breeders in your area

Petfinder.com can show you a list of animal shelters in your area and you can find an animal that will be compatible for you. Shelters only usually cost $100 to adopt a dog and that includes medical needs. The highest it gets for a dog can be $175. Save a life and adopt from a shelter from PETFINDER.COM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

look in your local newspaper...seriously, when i look in the newspaper on the weekends in the classified section there are pages and pages of pets for sale and for free. most of the pets in there already have their shots and they are not terribly expensive, and ive actually seen full breds for free so give it a look!
