where can a homeless person go if there experiencing violence, theft, sexual abuse at a shelter?

and yes, i've been to the police, reported it to staff. other shelters are the places where some of the other crimes have happened to myself and others. tried the neighboring towns, the same deal there with the crime, but was done to others.

I am sorry for your experience, but as one who has worked with homless and shelters for years, this is not the norm within most of them. Since you are saying you have tried several, I wonder what level of violence, theft or abuse you are discussing.

You will get angry residents since we are dealing with drug additcts, drunks, and all sorts of people.

There will be thefts if things are left laying, the level of people staying at these things are the lowest in our society most of the time, and they come into shelters often to get cleaned up and feed for a short time, before they go back to the street.

they can go back to living on the streets and digging through dumpsters if they dont appreciate that people are trying to make them feel wanted even though we know they arent. they should be thankful that they are even having sexual encounters. (theft? what can possibly be stolen from a frickin homeless piece of sh*t?)

well the over population at the shelters are growing try getting a job and gettting yourself off the list.
