Usually your roots depend on where you have lived the longest, particularly as a child. If yo have lived most of your life in Britain, then honey you are just as British as someone whose ancestors were all British. But you have the lovely added spice of belonging to a multicultural family!!

Born in Britain, you're British. Simple. If you go by your ancestors, there would be very few Americans, Australians, etc.

My grandmother
My gran father < dads father is Serbian..
My Mother was born in Arkansas , making her a hillbilly.
My other family are Russian and Irish.
I am called a pole billy. polish hillbilly.
your sisters boyfriend has nothing to do with your background.

id say you a globally rooted but individually if you were born in england and at leats live for a few years there then england is your roots i think..
or you could count you past few ancestors
