I'm only 1/4 black and I have really coarse hair that only looks good when I use relaxers. However, I know there bad for my hair, but my hair isn't as coarse as a full black person's so I only leave it on 15 minutes. But I was wondering if there are products that would be better suited for me. Thanks.

I agree with KeKe, flat iron or press. If you sweat around your scalp use Sebastian Shaper In Control Fiber Wax to slick those curly edges down w/a toothbrush (smile). My hair isn't chemically treated and I'm black, that wax works wonders.

Use a hot flattening iron. It will straighten your hair without you having to perm it. I have a mixed daughter and I've never straightened her hair but it looks wonderful anyway. You should never have permed your hair in the first place because it destroyes the grade of your hair.

I know that 'mixed' hair (bi-racial) is often beautiful...
Ask a pro before you mess up a good thing :)
