.....especially if you are from Mexico, South America, etc. (Other legal immigrants-feel free. ^^):
How do YOU feel that your people can come here illegally, get out of taxes, receive citizen benefits, and commit crimes with only a slight fear of being deported? P.S. If it doesn't offend you, please post the country from which you came.

i am from Lebanon and me and my family waited 10-13 years to get here(usa), we had to pay for paper work and stuff cost 3,000 $.
airplanes , airfares, taxes again, hotel,......20,000$!!!(family of 6)
i dont think it's fair, they just come here and they get medications, insurance.... FREE!!!
they come here they pay a little of taxes, do crimes(some),
and we have to pay thousands!!!!
they get better treatment everywhere and us, legal people get bad treatment!!!(in tx)
-my friends from Turkey, Bosnia,Iran,France, Egypt,Bulgaria....get bad treatment and they are legal- no insurance, medications, nothing......!!!
althought illegals do jobs we dont, still , thats the laws!!!

I am a legal immigrant from the U.K.

It is virtually impossible to live in this country without "contributing" in a fiscal way to society, unless you just sit on a street corner with a bucket and beg for nickels. So I'm afraid I have a hard time believing illegals are a net "drain" on our (I am an adopted American now) economy. If some natural born Americans would quit collecting welfare and go do the (of course low-paid) jobs the illegals are doing, they could use that as the bottom rung to start climbing the ladder to the American Dream. The illegals doing those jobs now cannot climb, they have no papers.

And just to make sure you went to a good high school and actually understand the math, most illegals in this country earn little enough they would pay no taxes anyway even if they were legal!

It is so difficult to start addressing your question without feeling a sense of sadness. When people do not do their own research before having opinion is is a very bad . What you hear is not necessarily what is true.
People from all country commit anus crimes. Charles Manson and other such persons are not Mexican. Sometimes I would love to see all immigrant go back home and we would see how our country would survive and who clean up after us . Please! do not tell me you are only talking about the illegals because most of all immigrant coming to this country in the past 30 years one or more came as illegal them they filed for their family members. Someone was once illegal.

The majority of persons that care for out precious children are immigrants . The majority that care for our precious old parents are immigrants. Big Department Stores you know.... who employs them pay slave wages no benifit and cash in on big profits. These people are mistreated beyond what I am able to put on the Internet . You would never imagine until you have walked in one of these people's shoe , believe me. To live is a prison without walls is not easy. All living things strive to survive. then what is wrong with trying to survive.
The causes for all of these people pain is politic and corrupt governments. When America need to build their country the doors was open now immigrant are scorned after the dirty work is done. If you should ask most people they do not want to leave their birth place but, the need to survive causes them to leave.. ..this is a fact. Please take some time to personally talk to a immigrant who is working in a household taking care of children and cleaning a mansion for $100 a week for 7 days. Talk to a woman who has been spit on and kicked by little white kids and their parent sit back and do nothing . Talk to a woman that has been raped in these homes. Talk to a wonam who had not been paid for her work and threaten to be deported if she complain. Talk to a woman who had to clean the underwear of another woman with period napkins still in the underwear ... Hell!!!!!! see how that feels . You do not know , you do not understand believe me, you do not understand . These people do evade taxes because they want to many pay but the taxes goes into the master pocket and others will be more than willl to pay taxes if the system allows . These people get in abodunce fear and abuse . you may need one to clean your S**** one day so be nice . things have a way of coming full circle

I don't feel that they can.

I know a lot of people think that illegal immigrants are getting away with things such as what you mentioned, but you should really take a look at their lives. A lot of them get paid sweatshop wages and live under bridges. Many pay taxes. They can't afford cars, clothes, or education. They just work real hard so we can have $1 lettuce heads.
Any money they do make probably gets sent back to their very poor families in another country...one that we may or may not be bombing.

The reason that immigration is such an issue right now is because it is ILLEGAL. Now, I'm not saying that rules are made to be broken, but I think this is much less a legal issue as it should be an issue of humanity. We speak so easily about the "wetbacks" who come into land that was never ours to begin with. And if anyone one of us were in the situations they were, we wouldn't think twice about coming to start a better life. That is how we all got here in the first place isn't it.

Well first of all, I understand where you're coming from with the whole don't do taxes and commit crime..... but not all people do that. For example, people who really come to work and get a better life, actually do that... no matter what it takes. And FYI when you're illegal, you CAN still do your taxes. As for the "slight" fear..... it's not as slight as you imagine. Once you've lived hin the US you really don't want to go back to your country of origin. I believe that for those of us who have worked hard, went to school, continue to go to school, and want a better life... we DESERVE to be legal. By the way I'm MEXICAN.

It is not true that illegal immigrants don't pay taxes. It's the other way around. When they receive their paychecks taxes have already been taken out, when they go to the store they also pay sales tax, etc. When everyone else is getting their checks during tax season, illegal immigrants receive nothing.

I'm Mexican, and I feel you Americans have a terrible double morality, which you don't seem to grasp or you simply tend to shrug off. You raise the "legality" flag when it comes to immigration, without considering ALL the international laws you've been breaking for the last 150 years!

OK, I'm sure that if those illegal aliens don't want to suffer the pains of slave-labor, threats and humiliations, they shouldn't have jumped the fence in the first place. Most illegal immigrants from Mexico ARE NOT poor! They go to the US out of sheer greed; they want to multiply their income in an "easy" way.

But before you wave your finger and frown on their "illegal" status, think of all those insane springbreakers who come to our beach resorts and puke in our pools and beaches, pollute our shores, vandalize our (prime quality) hotels and airports, encourage drug traffic by consuming hard drugs in our streets, display a total lack of respect and moral values as they strip even before kids and elders, pose a great danger as they drunk-drive, and of course, we Mexicans spend LOTS of badly-needed money on their prosecution and subsequent deportation.

AT the same time, the US, in addition to not endorsing international agreements concerning international law and environmental issues (think Kyoto and the International Court of Justice), invade whichever nation suits them (completely ignoring the UN resolutions) seeking just to appease their oil thirst, waving the "freedom and democracy" flags, in the belief that the rest of the world are fools who buy whatever they try to sell us.

Tens of thousands of innocent men, women and children have been massacred by the US Army in Afghanistan and Iraq in the last few years, hundreds of thousands of families have been forced to find a new home, plus the US Soldiers death toll is nearing 3000.

Next time you complain about those breaking the law, I suggest you see the whole picture. I don't believe in divine intervention, but I guess you Americans are getting just what you deserve.

I dont really feel anything towards that.Not all illegal immigrants come here to commit injustice for those who were originally her. A lot are just trying to do good things for their families.

yes, it is annoying, but there is nothing we can do, i have waited 8 years to come here legally, i love this country, and i think what most bothers me is that illegal people don't follow the rules, they do whatever they want, because they don't have a record to ruin, i don't receive any help from the government, so as i just told you it's annoying , but we can't do anything, that's how it is, and i am south American, exactly from Ecuador.

im illegal and my family pays taxes my family has never committed a crime and they work hard im currently in the top 1% of my class and i cant get a scholarship because im not a resident..... so u tell me where is the injustice
