It's funny that you've asked this question as I've just started my routine again this morning.
You just do it. Don't feel hopeless, don't feel defeated, just tuck your lower lip in and get back with the program.
When we were little we fell down until we learned how to walk, but we didn't give up. We fell down when we learned to ride a bike, but we didn't give up. Now we've gotten older and out of shape and you know what? We fell down again! Now we have to get up again.
I just started working out again a couple months ago and was doing well for the first few weeks, but I started allowing myself to miss a day hear and there. Before you know it I'd stopped all together.
The biggest thing about working out is that it's a new habit that you have to aquire. It takes a while to develop any habit so you MUST force yourself to do something, however small, on a regular basis.
I used to do it all the time and felt wonderful afterward, but gradually got away from it.
Let's BOTH get back on track!
I'm in your corner. I'll be up in my living room at around 5:30 AM Central time working out. Don't ever feel like you're alone and don't ever, ever give up!
Just do it!

Take a deep breath, draw up a new schedule, and start over. Don't try to step back into where you were before, you'll just frustrate yourself and maybe hurt something trying to do something you're not in the shape to do. Also, look over your old program and try to figure out why you drifted away. Excercize should be an enjoyable part of life, not a daily struggle. Maybe you need an excercize partner to help motivate you, or you need to find an activity you really enjoy, or a better time to do it. Most of all, though, don't give up! Most people have to start over dozens of times before they really get something!

Slowly. Don't make it so huge that it seems overwhelming. Just go for a walk. That's all. Just a nice brisk walk along the beach or around the neighborhood. Then do it again. Then after you've been doing that 3-4 times a week, add a little something more.
We all set ourselves up for failure sometimes by creating mental obstacles so huge we convince ourselves they are impossible and just throw in the towel. It induces a paralysis that is the worst dilemma of all. So just take one tiny baby step... and then take another.

First, get your exercise clothing on.
Second, find activities you like to do; swimming, bicycling, hiking, basketball.
Hang out with friends that embrace an active lifestyle.
Promise yourself that at a specific time you will "be active" (because 'exercise' has become a dirty word to you). Things that try to distract you should be seen as dragging you down and are to be avoided.

Try exercising twice weekly for two weeks. You will work yourself back up to a normal schedule in no time. I used to have the same problem.

start over again. Be sure to include lots of variety so you won't get bored of it and ditch it again! Do things you enjoy, not just things you feel like you "have to" do it oresle you will surely abandon it all over again.
